Ok -- This is my official response: your 2007 Maxx Pass, with all rights and privlidges will expire at the stroke of midnight, December 31st, 2007. However, on Jan 1st 2008 your 2008 Platinum pass will kick in. To answer your question -- yes, your pass will be good at Knott's on New Year's Day. Ok, so what about ordering my Platinum Pass online from Knott's, and then getting it processed there....will I have KI Gold Pass perks in 2008!? But thanks again for your help!

Cedar Fair Platinum Pass Benefits: Grants you access to all Cedar Fair properties, both dry parks and waterparks excluding Castaway Bay and Star Trek: The Experience. This grants you season long parking at all Cedar Fair properties as well as platinum benefits at all Cedar Fair parks where offered. So after reading the above, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there could be confusion between the "Point Perks" and the Cedar Point platinum benefits... Basically, I don't think Point Perks = Joe Cool, where as Point Perks is hotel, merch, and food discounts. So can anyone confirm if Joe Cool will be considered a "platinum benefit"? Because if so, then you could still have your platinum pass processed at KI and still get Joe Cool at CP (but maybe not the Point Perks). Then using the same logic, won't the Gold Pass perks at KI be considered the platinum benefits for Platinum Pass holders? i.e. if you get your Platinum Pass processed at CP, then wouldn't you still be able to get Gold Pass perks at KI? Also, thanks for everyone's help with answering my previous questions! And based on those answers can anyone confirm that if I order my Platinum Pass online from Knott's, and get it processed at Knott's that I will STILL be able to get free parking at any CF park in 2008, and that I will STILL be able to get KI Gold Pass perks and Joe Cool at CP? Because based on the Platinum Pass description, I would say those answers should all be yes!!

Can anyone confirm/answer the following questions.... 1. So if I renew my season pass to Platinum before Nov 11th, can I get my pass processed at ANY park or does it have to be KI?? 2. Can I get my Platinum Pass processed at ANY park, and is it confirmed that I will get be getting the KI Gold/Platinum Perks even if my Platinum Pass is NOT processed at KI? 3. So now, I've been under the impression that my 2007 Maxx Pass is valid through March 31, 2008, however, if I have a processed 2008 Platinum Pass, will I be able to use that for free parking to Knott's Berry Farm on New Year's Day? Because my situation is that from the looks of it, I will be renewing my Maxx Pass for a Platinum Pass AFTER my last trip to KI this year (but before Nov. 11), and I am going to LA after Christmas and to Knott's Berry Farm and want to know if I can get my 2008 Platinum Pass processed at KBF on New Year's Day (to get my free parking) and I want to make sure I am safe for getting the KI perks in 08 since KI is my home park (I would also like my Platinum Pass to work at KI's turnstiles, but we'll see about that). Sorry for the long post, but if anyone has any answers I would greatly appreciate them!

Sorry, but per Lance on Screamscape (aka Coaster Prophet), Dominator is going to Kings Dominion.... Realistically speaking, it looks like our best shot for a new coaster will be something for 2009 or 2010....probably a mini-B&M hyper like CW is getting...

I actually have to disagree with you on this...with a gold flash pass, Six Flags Great Adventure is actually the best place in the world!!

To respond to your TR.... Nahhh....we need something with a short line when Firehawk, Delirium, and Face/Off all have hour long waits!! I heard "Cincinnati Rush"....but I like your idea about re-naming/themeing Top Gun as The Bat!!

If operating it'll have the name "Cave Top Spin" and have the same program as the one at Dorney.

The CW season pass sale was only to capitalize on the announcement of Behemoth....remember, season passes can always be upgraded at a later time....this is no different than a sports team who's in the playoffs selling season tickets for the next year, so this is a no biggie!

Well....I think Firehawk's operational status this year has been pretty good generally speaking and considering its propensity for breaking down!! But so, is Drop Zone spinning when it gets to the top?? I went on it Saturday and it was not spinning!!

Because Cedar Fair will (eventually) be selling GL and turning it into the Geauga Lake Town Centre outdoor shopping center! And I (KI) want first-dibs on their best coaster!!

A lot of trip reports I've read recently for July and August have all mostly claimed very light crowds on Sunday! I gotta start doing Sunday's more next year!!

From my girlfriend's: 5-7 mins from Nantucket apartments on North Montgomery depending on traffic lights on Columbia Road From my apartment in Indianapolis: 1 hr 45 mins when 275 North is NOT under construction! Or about 2 hrs using the 126 detour.

A trip report I read from this past Sunday said a lot of the rides were station waits only!! SOB was like 20 mins, and top prize (as always) was Firehawk at like 30 mins or so...so I would think you should be golden!!

Well, as anyone who works for a development company could tell you, a parking lot could practically be built over night!! Besides, I sort of thought Chang was built on top of were the "SF only" parking lot was or meant to be at??

I thought KI was only moderately crowded Saturday...I got 7 rides between 10:00 am and noon!! But overall, average for Saturday and nothing ridiculous...though Firehawk's line moved a little slower than normal (I thought) due to ride operations that seemed bad and slow compared to what the rest of the season has been like! However, due to the Weird Al concert I didn't chance leaving around 6:30-7:00 pm (as usual) to hit up Gold Star, and instead left a little earlier.

I seriously doubt the Maxx Pass will go away...on another enthusiast website someone talked to a CF park GM who said that CF as a whole had been "estatic" at the results from the Maxx Passes this year... I look forward to renewing mine online (*only*) sometime over the winter...until then...Dorney here I come! CP here I come (a few more times)!!

Yeah, in addition to Max & Erma's being national, I know for a fact they have Skyline's in Florida and tons continue to open there!! (now if only they could get a Gold Star in Indianapolis!!) Yes....count me as one who likes Gold Star better than Skyline!

I didn't ask about parking as finally having a Maxx Pass (and thus, a season pass for Cedar Point!) my CP visits quintupled this year and so next year I'm getting All Ohio Parking!!

At Cedar Point over the weekend the person at Guest Relations (where KI Maxx Pass'ers sign in at) told me Cedar Fair was NOT going to be selling ANY season passes of any kind for any park until the non-year round parks close!! He claimed you'll be able to go online and re-new the pass you have now *with no processing for next year!!!!* (YES!!!), and that if you re-new online the pass you have now, you'll be able to take it straight to the gate on opening day for the 2008 season!

As far as Mantis, ride it with your legs perched up on the ridge/bench/whatever behind you and below your restraints....it kind of gives it a floorless feeling (in the first row) and is much better this way!!
