Little Things You Notice
That reminds me of something else I noticed this Sunday. Someone drew a funny face on top of the air conditioner for the computer shed at Vortex. This face can be seen if you look at the air conditioner from the top of the stairs.

Storms?
The bumper cars don't seem to close during storms either. When I was there on Sunday, Dodgems stayed open during heavy rain with some lightning and thunder, even though most other rides in the park were shut down.

Little Things You Notice
A few things I noticed this weekend: On Vortex, there is a small pedal on the back of each car (unload side) that allows the ride op to unlock all the restraints in that car. I'm assuming there's a similar feature on Adventure Express since there's a hole on the right side at the rear of each car and both rides were made by Arrow. The statues on the final hill on Adventure Express still need some work... The first one on the right side as you're going up the hill was squeaking, and the right arm of the second one on that side didn't work. It is impossible to unbuckle the shoulder harnesses on Firehawk when the train is in the reclining position (discovered this yesterday when we returned to the station) The International Street funnel cake stand is the place to go if you want food loaded with calories - they offer fried Oreos (Oreos dipped in funnel cake batter, fried and topped with powdered sugar) and The Beast funnel cake (funnel cake topped with strawberries, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and powdered sugar). The fried Oreos are incredibly tasty The graffiti I saw at Flight of Fear several weeks ago has since been cleaned up

Ride count on Diamondback?
I got 5 rides in yesterday, including one in the front row (got sent there as a single rider with a group of 3 people who requested that row).

Interesting Things Ride-Ops Do
A ride op at Viking Fury yesterday called it "the best boat at Kings Island".

Flying Objects
That was actually me who caught that hat... That's the only time I've ever seen something fall/fly off a ride, though I did lose a hat on Delirium once (I don't know why I even wore it on the ride), and the first time I rode TR:TR I could hear change falling out of peoples' pockets when the ride went upside down.

Interesting Things Ride-Ops Do
A couple of funny moments from yesterday: "... and enjoy the rest of your day here at Kings Island, where everything is made of wood! ... Except some stuff." - DB ride op (referring to White Water Canyon) "... and if you do choose to ride that ride, please remember that you WILL get wet, possibly even drenched. Although, you're probably already getting wet" - while riding the train during the first round of rain yesterday There were also some jokes about DB being wetter than usual when I was riding it right after it first started raining

PTR Kings Island 6/11/09
I saw Up in "regular D" last night and loved it as well... And yes, you do have to wait a year for Toy Story 3, but you only have to wait 2 1/2 weeks for Ice Age 3

Park acreage
Wikipedia has a lot of info about that ride... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Knight_%...gland%29#Delays I love how whoever wrote that article said that it's been confirmed that the ride has been moved to and installed in Mexico, yet they give no source for that info.

Saturday June 13, think it will be busy?
Diamondback is the only ride with a single rider line, and it can be anywhere from a walk-on to 15 minutes or more depending on numerous factors (number of people in the line, how many odd-numbered groups are riding DB, etc.)

Rubiks Cube
If you're actually interested in learning how to solve the Rubik's Cube, I highly recommend the book Mastering Rubik's Cube by Don Taylor. My dad has a copy of it, and it's quite useful. Although it's long since out of print, there are a couple dozen used copies floating around amazon.com (and one which is supposedly in new condition, but the idiot selling that somehow thinks they can get $79.39 for it...).

Ride count on Diamondback?
The past couple of times I've been at the park, I've ridden DB once or twice in the afternoon and finished off the night with DB (though the first time it was because Beast wasn't open at 9:30 - after I realized how well you can see the fireworks from DB, I decided to make that the last ride of the night instead of The Beast)

Ki associates past and present!
2005: HB "West Pie" - Beastie, Skytours, umbrella ride (Go, Diego, Go!), kiddie cars (Nick Jr. Drivers) and kiddy whip (Swiper's Sweepers) Worked from the beginning of the season through late July before being fired (long story - don't ask)

kings dominion new coaster in development
Further clarification on the Terpy joke... The line "See the tree how big it's grown" is from the song "Honey" by Bobby Goldsboro. If you've never heard it, you aren't missing anything...

Upcoming Coney Mall Addition?
The S&S Screamin' Swing looks like a fun ride, but I can't picture something like that being put in Coney Mall.

Best Diamondback Seats
For me it's a tie between row 1 and row 16. I've only ridden row 1 once (night ERT during RWW), but have been assigned to row 16 two or three times... Row 1 is fun because you're the first over the hills (nothing like looking down that first hill with nothing in front of you), but Row 16 is also a blast because you can get soaked and you get pulled over the hills.

What level of intensity do you perfer in your rides?
As of this post, the poll has received 12 votes (including mine): 1 for Moderate Thrill Ride 1 for Thrill Ride 10 for Major Thrill Ride That should tell you right there

Flight Deck
I personally think FD's queue is longer than SOB's queue, but I could be wrong. If I remember correctly though, WWC holds the record for longest queue in the park.

Another Wallenda To Defy Death at Kings Island, Extended Park Operating Hours, Boomerang Bay, New Ways to Following Kings Island & More!
For some reason, everytime I hear about the show, I'm reminded of the classic 1966 surf movie (The Endless Summer). Will have to check it out though

what should be added food wise at Kings Island
On the subject of healthy food choices, I wouldn't mind seeing a Potbelly Sandwich Works at KI. Good sandwiches and reasonable prices.

what should be added food wise at Kings Island
Yes, but would people actually be willing to pay such prices for it?
