  1. I think the parade is quite good this year. My niece and nephew loved it this year and I think it is as good or better than last years.

I know this is probably a waste of time, but I am bothered by the themeing of Wings and how it does not fit in with the area it is in. Also it seems to be the most neglected resturant in the park. Honestly how many people even know that it exists. I would love to see them Re-Theme it as an Adventure Outpost (Kinda Indy Jonesish), because WWC, TRTR, and The Beast are centraly located around it.
  3. Hmmm if I have to pick, I must go with Action Theater because it has had one crappy sim after another in there. Days of Thunder sucked, 007 was crap, the one they do for Fear Fest is plain horrible. Sponge Bob is OK. Make it more like a 4D movie attraction like Terminator at USF.
  4. I know the press release states that construciton will begin this summer for Great Bear Lodge and that it will open late next year, but does anyone know when or if they have started yet? Just curious because I haven't noticed any heavy equipment or clearing yet. I love the Great Bear Lodge's and I can't wait till they get this one open so I dont have to drive to the Dells or Sandusky anymore to get my winter waterpark fix.
  5. Beast Lift Hill - 10 minutes SOB Lift Hill - 5 minutes Vortex Lift Hill - 5 minutes Nothing major compared to my other sticky situations. Worst ever was Mili on the Lake for 25 minutes. Got stuck on the very top of the lift hill with the fron train facing downward, because the catch car had to reset before it could push us over. At that severe angle, that hight, and not to mention the rather strong breeze that sucked. My wife started praying along most of the other people in the train. We managed to get front of the line passes out of it though. Talk about a fun time
  6. I dont hold my hands up for FOF because I have the fear of loosing an arm. I challenge anyone to hold their arms up for the entire ride of TTD. Its fun for the launch, but I always have to hold on during the sprial on the downside.
  7. I waited 4 1/2 hours for Raptor when it first opened. If you think about it, Raptor was really the begining of the coaster building arms race at CP.
  8. Rode it last week and the crew was excellent. Not to mention the opps working the tours soaked us. Especially at the end of the ride. The guy opperating the cannons pointed right at me and my wife and told us we were getting it. I think every cannon he controlled landed right on us. I have never been the wet before from ridding WWC. Nice aim.
  9. Yeah Kings Islands sucks, thats why they have the best attendance for any seassonal theme park in the US. KI doesnt claim to be the roller coaster capital of the world or the next Disney World. They claim to be a park that offers everyone in the family something fun and exciting and they do that very well. If you want record breaking coasters than go to CP or SFMM or if you are wanting themeing out the butt, head down to Florida. I cant understand people that want everything to be perfect and when its not, lets burn the place down. Get a life and enjoy Six Flags
  10. SOB is not rough at all compared to most large wooden coasters. For example Mean Streak will cause internal organ damage because it is outta control. The Texas Giant has to be the absolute roughest coaster I have ever ridden. SOB is fast and pulls a lot of G's thats what really gives it that rough feeling.
  11. How about the Cost of this thing? Im thinking a little on the spensive side.
  12. Just Imagine a Wooden Hang and Bang. I feel the blood coming from my ears already.
  13. Smooth? I think that is a trick question. A Wooden coaster that is smooth non-the-less hangs from below the track. This is one of those things that if you and try and solve your head eventually explodes from your brain melting down.
  14. The Beast overrated? Na I dont think so. More like we have all ridden it so many times that we wish it were the way it use to be. Less brakes and lights out during night rides. Ahh the good ole days. Ok back on topic. How about Adventure Express being overrated. The biggest hill is the one that takes you back to the station. Wow what excitement and how uncool of a ride and a waste of space. Nuts and Bolts... Nuts and Bolts... Weve... Been... Screwed...
  15. Call me Mr. Excitement Killer, but I think this one is a little far fetched. The idea of a massive wood track hanging in mid air as some type of coaster train also hangs from it seems a little impossible. I am affraid that with the weight and vibrations involved the thing would shake apart.
  16. Attractions, Themeing, and Cleanliness. Hmmmm PKI Boomerang Bay has it hands down compared to the others. The Beach use to be nice, but that place has gone down hill fast.
  17. The park had a good crowd, but I waited in very short lines. Rode everything I wanted with short waits and even got 2 rides on IJST.
  18. How about the kids in line that swing from que to que and their parents dont say a thing to them. Yeah destroy the ques and anything else in the park you want. Why do you think admissions go up almost every year, because of inconsiderate a$$holes that run wild in parks and the parents that havent taught their kids any manners or respect for anything. Also on the short list People and their basketballs Smoking in line Not throwing your garbage away, but leaving it on the table Profanity every other word (Look how cool I am) Wife Beater T-Shirts and pants that are around your ankles I feel old and bitter, but I still love PKI

The Adams Family Coaster is a great idea, but i doubt we see back to back family coasters. Therefore 2006 will be an expansion of Nick Central and I am looking for a Super Saturator to go in. That would be the perfect ride to anchor a Nick expansion, plus they offer great thrills for both riders and watchers at a low cost. I look for 2007 to be either a new thrilling Huss Giant Ride (Jump2) or a new non-family coaster. Beast Slayer 07
  20. Vortex is pretty smooth for an Arrow Multi-Looper. Especially since they run the breaks heavy before the corkscrews, the ride has become smoother than it use to be.
  21. X-Flight never had a batman theme it has always been known as X-fight even when GL was Six Flags. X-Flight was the big new coaster the year when Six Flags bought Sea World and made the park Worlds of Adventure. Not a bad ride, but you stand in line for awhile no matter how long it is. Then you wait in the station for a long time to. Not very capacity friendly. The B&M flyer is a much better design.
  22. I must agree that a War of the Worlds Coaster will no doubt be in the works. Unless they go for the more costly, but imerssive ride simulator like Spider Man. In all honesty I hope they opt for a coaster themed as much as IJST is and use the extra money to add some other new attractions. Dont get me wrong Spider Man is awesome, but that is one big price tag.
  23. BoddaH1994, I will agree mostly with what you say about coasters today and I am also a huge fan of extravagent themeing. This is one of the reassons that I am burnt out on Cedar Point. Just coasters, nothing else. I would love to see a monsterous Intamin themed to Godzilla or a B&M flyer themed to Sky Captain or War of the Worlds
  24. PKIfan73 I must agree that most people will come for the Big Ones. Look at CP they do no themeing, but the people flock to that park. Why? because of the monsters of the midway. I think PKI could really benefit from another monster without themeing it.
  25. Who in their right mind would want to ride a coaster during winter in Ohio? Not me. Way to freaking cold. Ill go to FLA if I need a coaster fix during the long Ohio Winters. PKI would loose so much money being open year round. Unless we build a dome over the entire park and keep it at a comfortable 75 degrees.
