  1. Does the Haunt last throughout all of October? And I start school tomorrow, but I get to go to KI this weekend because my dad is wanting to go to the Brady Bunch reunion thingy >.< I would go, I think it would be fun to see all the festivities but I'll be in Chicago for the Jazz Festival. Will there be a TR of said Jazz Festival?
  2. Hey, did you guys see the pictures of the new coaster? Oh wait... Hmm, this is quite fun.
  3. Perhaps the supports are also part of a building that trains will be housed in? http://rcdb.com/ig3290.htm?picture=32
  4. Okay, Iron Wolfe, while fun had it's painful parts... But I really do not see how you enjoyed American Eagle. At all. I guess it's just a matter of opinion, or it has changed in the past 3 years.
  5. Oh dangit! I'll be at band camp too. Maybe I need to sign up for the KIC Mobile now.
  6. Whoa when did they change up The Crypt's line queve? Cool stuff happeningg. I think I read about that on here a week or so ago. But regardless, I think it was a necessary change even if they weren't building a new ride.
  7. Maybe they'll call it Goose?
  8. If thats how we're doing it, I suggest Cornilia Marie!! And I second your motion!
  9. I am actually at the beach right now with 4 of my relatives who live in St. Louis and have for probably close to 40 years now. They're quite worried about Brito's plan to cut "non-core assets." They were talking today about how much A-B does for the city, and what things might become if the city does not have those contributions.
  10. Haha, I guess I set myself up for that one.
  11. Maybe the poster meant in person. If not, I pose that qeustion. Anyone seen them in person?
  12. $23,000 to a local scrap dealer according to RCDB. (I had to look the ride up because I was unsure what it was) http://rcdb.com/id237.htm
  13. But a guy can dream right? haha
  14. I definetly think you're onto something here. Why not make The Crypt a mine elevator from hell? Or something along those lines (see Mystery Mine).
  15. Yes, yes you are. And I know exactly what you mean.
  16. Burning is not an option...and if you think Cedar Fair took a hit for the publicity it got when it put Big Dipper up for auction, imagine the publicity ACE would get when it destroyed, rather than preserved, a coaster. Besides, you are assuming there weren't obligations in Cedar Fair's offer to actually relocate and operate the coaster...not necessarily a correct assumption. This is true. So, what becomes of it now?
  17. Hmm...I would've at least accepted the trains for memoribilia, then burnt the rest. But, I'm not ACE.
  18. Now if they start offering gas vouchers to park guest, then I'm interested.
  19. I know KI enough that I more or less just stroll around the park and let it happen. I don't feel to horrible if I miss something because unless its a new ride, I've ridden it. Plus, excluding KIC Day, my past trips were with people who aren't into coasters and such like I am. However, when I go to ther parks of which I have not visited before, I always get on their fan forums and ask for a strategy. It's worked for three years now on our schools band trip during which we have visited 3 seperate SF parks. (SFGAm, SFoG, SFStl)
  20. Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
  21. Heres some pictures I found online for anyone interested the late Thunderbold Express (Screamin' Demon) http://homefires.us/coaster/thunderbolt.html Unfortunetly, the website hasn't been updated in some time, but they're still cool pictures.
  22. So, what style of B&M coaster was DF set to be?
  23. Great trip report Ronny! It's good to see people visiting a park rather close to me. I think it's about time that I make a trip down there myself, because I haven't in 14 or 15 years. Oh, and if you're ever in the area again doing urban exploring, please let me in. I've always wanted to try and unearth some of the abandoned gems of our region. Thanks for the wonderful pictures!
  24. What an idea. I certainly would have paid to have such a great memento. Two words. Lead paint. Not gonna happen. Really? I wasn't aware that lead paint was being used when it was built.
