  1. At first, I thought the pictures were computer-generated, but upon closer inspection...I can't be too sure.
  2. I can't read japanese, but this is kinda creepy: http://home.f01.itscom.net/spiral/t_rando/t_rando1.html
  3. By the time the lodge is built, a new campground will be open, I'd bet...though it will still be worth checking out.
  4. MADISON, Wis./CINCINNATI, Ohio, May 4, 2005  Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. (NASDAQ: WOLF), the nation’s largest owner, operator and developer of drive-to family resorts featuring indoor waterparks and other family-oriented entertainment activities, and Paramount Parks today announced the formation of a joint venture to develop a 39-acre, $100+ million Great Wolf Lodge resort at Paramount’s Kings Island, in Mason, Ohio (just north of Cincinnati). Great Wolf Resorts will operate the resort under its Great Wolf Lodge brand and will maintain the majority equity position in the project. Paramount’s Kings Island, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIAB), will have a minority equity interest in the development by contributing the land needed for the resort. Full Press Release: http://www.pki.com/news/detail.cfm?item_id=160
  5. If you have a blockbuster in your area, I'd hit them up.
  6. They may have those signs advertising it on a per-week basis. If they made a big deal of saying it was open every weekend, people may get the wrong idea and think the ride is officially open and expect all effects to be working, and they'd also be pretty upset if they planned to come in "a couple weeks" to ride again, only to find the ride was shut down that weekend for some unscheduled maintenance. ...this is all hypothetical, of course, but I'm just saying.
  7. Paramount is here to stay, at least for now. If anything, like has already been said, Paramount Parks may be spun off into its own division of the company, like Blockbuster.
  8. I believe IJ:ST is open every weekend from here on out. There are bound to be times and possibly days the ride is down, but it is scheduled for all weekends through opening day for the ride, May 20. From the press release: "Technical rehearsal runs weekends through May 15... ...During technical rehearsal of the park’s newest attraction, those wishing to be stunt car drivers should visit the Guest Relations kiosk at the base of the Eiffel Tower for a ride reservation pass. Approximately 2,000 reservation passes are available for Season Pass Holders, and 2,000 are available for non-season pass holders each day. The grand opening for THE ITALIAN JOB: Stunt Track is May 20 when the park begins daily operation." Don't forget to get your ticket for the ride, though. I saw quite a few people trying to get in line for IJ and were kind of upset when they found out they couldn't just walk on.
  9. Well, that sucks. Ever since I heard them in the video, I just sort of expected them.
  10. Main page of pki.com, where the little flash area plays a few "commerical" type movies.
  11. It may not end for awhile, but people are starting to want something different. "Tallest" and "fastest" just don't cut it for me anymore. This article hit the nail on the head...people are starting to want theming more and more.
  12. Good to hear. Thanks for that info! So long as the riding isn't limited to 2,000, I'm happy. This is great news.
  13. So...did I read this right or wrong? I'm getting this is a gold-pass only thing all weekend, or just the fact that the first 2,000 GP people get the Speed Lane tickets? I'll be at the park Sunday for sure, and possibly Saturday...and would hate to miss the chance to ride IJ simply because I wasn't first in.
  14. I don't like the idea of capatilizing on a great idea for charity, however we do need some way to identify ourselves in a somewhat discrete manner. I don't like flaunting things, but I'd love to see a PKIC bracelet or something to identify others...I don't, however, want a T-Shirt or thong.
  15. I believe the site for the bands is actually http://www.reminderband.com/ Looks like 40 bands for $108 shipped. So the bands would be $2.70, with no profit. If PKIC sold these and wanted a profit (would be crazy not to ) they'd probably be at LEAST $3.00. Just some food for thought.
  16. Ep. 3 comes out May 19. Quite a few theatres are doing midnight showings...I know my work is. Chef, how'd you like Indy? Hope everything was okay here in town for ya.

lol. I ALWAYS pee at the internation street bathroom too...the one by the employee entrance.
  18. Fanboys...sheesh. Really, though...don't knock it 'til you ride it.
  19. Sweet. I hope whatever it is, they use the Flight Commander queue...For some reason, the pictures I've seen of the queue, it looks really neat.

Somehow, I can't come to believe you.

Please, for the love of all that is holy, don't see a movie! I work at a theatre
  22. NoLimits does have its limits.
  23. No... ...No it's not.
  24. I asked the question a while back in a thread on old food joints at the park: http://www.pkicentral.com/forums/index.php...indpost&p=82666 As for what it means, maybe BoddaH can explain more?
