Dollywood's Wild Eagle nears completion
Seems like just yesterday they were announcing this ride at the Fireworks festival and now look at it. I must say it does look impressive, Dollywood is starting to build themselves quite a collection of thrill rides.

Favorite Wooden Coaster at Kings Island
You should actually have two options for The Beast, the regular ride, and the night ride. I still say The Beast anyways, but at night that ride turns into something else.

Halloween Haunt wait times
Looks like today the park relatively dead. Sunday's in October are by far the best days of the month to go.

Old Kings Island and Cedar Point Photos
Sorry to hear about the loss of your father flightoffear, thank you for posting those pictures, those are some really great shots of the park.

Halloween Haunt wait times
Can't say I ever really saw a maze with a huge line, we did stay in AZ for the majority of the night.

Favorite halloween Haunt Maze
I went through Club Blood, Slaughterhouse, and Wolf Pack last night. I must say the best was Wolf Pack, by a large margin. Club Blood did not even have one moment where it startled me, Slaughterhouse sometimes got loud and borderline annoying, but it was still worth checking out.

Halloween Haunt wait times
Went last night and it really was dead. Hardly any lines at all, except about an hour for Skyflyer because it was so cheap. Other than that, did 3 houses and about 5 rides I think.

Halloween Haunt wait times
I will be going to Haunt tomorrow night and I am not expecting light crowds so I guess you can say I am going in with an open mind. The best days to go in October, if you are wanting to experience the park itself and not the Haunts, are Sunday's. I have found that Sunday's in October are simply the absolute best time to visit the park.

Information for a speech
I am going to give a speech for my College public speaking class on roller coasters. The speech is meant to be informative and my three main topics are the safety, what goes into designing a ride, and how the coaster has evolved over the years. I was wondering if anyone could give me any information, any websites to go to, or even anything you might have in your own collection pertaining to the safety of the rides and what goes into the design. I have a lot of information, well over enough to write an effective speech, but I would like to know if anyone can give me some more information. I knew this would be the place to come for help, thanks guys.

Death of Ron Toomer
I credit the legend with getting me really into wanting to design coasters and really my love for coasters and parks in general. He really was truly a genius and is one the most influential designers to ever grace the earth. In my honest opinion he gave us the greatest thing to ever glide over steel rails, Magnum XL-200. May a path always rise to meet you and a coaster be on your horizon Mr. Toomer, heres to the legend.

The Passing Of A Legend
Well I apologize for not looking in the Kings Island forum on a non-KI related topic.

The Passing Of A Legend
I searched and found nothing is why I started it here.

The Passing Of A Legend
http://www.coaster-net.com/news/1602-industry-legend-ron-toomer-dies/ Truly a sad story. I just heard about it today while I was listening to Monday's In The Loop podcast. He was one of my favorite coaster designers ever and he really inspired me to get into Roller Coasters and some day aspire to be a designer. I also believe he created the single best roller coaster on the face of the earth in Magnum XL-200. His lift chain has taken him to a place no coaster can ever climb, RIP Ron Toomer.

CP videos from WEWS vault
I love those videos, really great to see a different park than Kings Island from a time like that. It is amazing how far that park has came.

Brady bunch at ki pop up video
I actually have Growing Up Brady, Barry Williams' Autobiography and it has a whole chapter entitled "The Fish Bowl" in it. He said that people were giving The Bradys dirty looks when they would get to the front of the line and that the guests were told to not acknowledge them in filming at all. He also mentions the guests coming and peeping in Maureen, Eve, and Susan's window in the hotel. It is actually a very interesting book, I recommend reading it.

Halloween Haunt 2011's Bloody Details
I am really excited to see the Fright Pass feature is so cheap, 20 dollars when you buy 5. This to me is really worth it if you want to experience all the haunts. Waiting in line for Haunts can get excruciantingly long and you probably won't get to do everything all in one night. Using this, I can now hopefully breeze through the Haunts, and still have time to ride some rides afterwards. Haunt looks promising this year, I hope to see a bunch of KIC coverage and photos.

I actually have this audio ripped off the YouTube video and on my iPod.

Where Was Son Of Beast's Loop Stored?
If I remember correctly or if I can find it saved on my computer, someone put up a picture of the loop sitting in the parking lot after it had been dismantled.

I miss Paramount
Remember how the TVs left in The Beast station looked last year? Those TVs would mostly be broken by now, and the Pantel TVs that are in DB's line are really expensive, they'd need to sell quite a few Fast Lane wristbands to make up for the cost of just one. http://panteltv.com/...orproducts.html Wow I really had no idea those TV's cost that much. Thanks for posting that link, very interesting. Mmmmm......Skyline Chili-Vision.

I miss Paramount
I am going to just sit back and watch this topic grow, my thoughts on this topic have been revealed one too many times on these forums. Viva La Paramount!!

What KI coaster have you ridden the most times?
For me it is probably The Beast with a close second being Racer. I used to marathon that bad boy non stop when they had the backwards side running.

Halloween Haunt 2011
Is that Jeff Siebert I spy in that picture?

Diamondback already losing its touch?
Diamondback is far from rough. It is by far the smoothest coaster at Kings Island and as many have said, even in Ohio. (Milly does give it a run for its money though) Just because you feel a vibration does not mean it is losing it's touch, you are just simply used to a smooth as glass ride and with time that is going to disappear. IMO the ride will always be smooth, will it be as smooth as it was when it opened? No.

Casts At CP
From researching and looking at the guest policies as well as reading up on people's experiences with a cast, there is a good chance he will be able to ride. I guess we will find out today.
