  1. i completely forgot about the book. i thought that was some weird dream i had, but just looked it up and its legit lol. theres actually 2 books.
  2. ive done that on orion once. not sure if id do it again tho lol. legit felt myself come out of the seat over the drop hill and thought i was gonna die (not really but it was actually terrifying)
  3. If The Bat gets taken out, I could see them removing it entirely and using the SOB station for a new ride IF the station is still useable.
  4. i actually do really like this graveyard idea. would be cool and could make all the rides fit well theme wise. not so sure about the roller skating stuff and theater but hey if it could work it could work.
  5. gotta agree with this. i know Drop Tower is a cool experience, but ive never been able to get on it. the stomach dropping feeling makes me nauseous when i feel like im falling and since thats exactly what the point of the Drop Tower is i cant ride it lol. even besides that, i feel like with as long as the Drop Tower has been there that its popularity has died down a lot, and would probably be more costly to keep there than its worth. id deinitely like to see Action Zone in general altered. the layout is sort of odd, the rides there are mediocre (besides Banshee and bat), and it feels crammed. expand it a little bit and space things out more and update some of the rides that need it (congo falls, Invertigo)
  6. i love boo blasters cause its basically an easy sit down spot to relax on a ride, but i agree it desperately needs rethemed or overhauled into something else. its a shell of what it used to be and just reminds me of a thrown together scrapbook with random props and decor found lying around in a prop closet. i definitely see Action Zone being the next big project worked on.
  7. maybe i just had a worse experience than others, but i can see why its the only one lol. when i rode it i had a terrible time. it made me nauseous and all the spins and loops made me legit fall unconscious on it for a couple seconds more than once while riding it
  8. This can go either way, either a ride beng removed for other plans, or a ride reaching its end of service life. I personally think it could be any of the rides in Action Zone besides Banshee. Bat is older. Congo falls is barely running half the time. Invertigo doesnt seem to be super popular these days. so i just think it could be any of them. i could also see some kiddie rides being taken out. snoopys surf dog and the whirlybirds come to mind.
  9. All I'm saying is the panda express needs to go. anytime ive ate there its never been that good, most of the time clearly leftovers reheated, and not even very warm when served. Might be a hot take but id say the panda express is the wost restaraunt in the park. only reason its still around id say is cause everyone goes there to shelter and eat
  10. Very good episode. I got to ride Firehawk finally a week before it was shut down and announced to be out for the season (which ended up being permanent). Only ever got to ride it once and lost my phone on it on the dive down, but luckily my phone took no damage because it fell out right when we were at the bottom. Was definitely a ride I wish I could've rode more.
  11. Honestly I'm not exactly sure. I know I've rode The Bat a lot, mainly cause theres never really a line it seems like.
  12. This could mean a ride you feel needs rethemed, or just feel like retheming would work better for the area its in. This covers all areas of the park (Planet Snoopy, rivertown, coney mall, Action Zone) I would retheme stunt car coaster. just lacks a real identity ever since it lost the italian job IP, even tho that didn't offer much to begin with.
  13. agreed. they dont even have to change it back to phantom theater or scooby if they really dont wanna, but that place has too much space being wasted. it has all the potential in the world to be an awesome kiddie ride if they would just upgrade some things on it. the shooters so they actually work, the decor so it doesnt look like some neon paint slapped on random backdrops.
  14. I remember being in line for Flight of Fear with my friends one day during the summer. The ride was down, but we were set on waiting in line til it opened back up cause we were close to the front. There was a large group of kids being super loud and complaining about the fact the ride was down. No biggie there, I get it, its annoying. But then one of the kids (a black kid) jumped over the railing and start hopping around on the set equipment by the UFO entryway and the screens and stuff. Then he kept hopping up on the stairs riling and sitting on the rail in the ufo, cutting in line basically, and asking this group of girls how they felt about him being black. He repeatedly kept saying "oh its cause im black right?" or "tell me how you really feel about me, a black person". I think he was trying to be funny, but all he did was **** off a lot of people in line, including this group of girls. Eventually ride kicked on and he got to go, but we had to listen to him and watch do stupid **** for like an hour and a half. This is more of a people do the darndest things but i guess it applies. Me and a guy i was at KI with were riding the zephyr ride, and this group of guys, college aged mind you, kept swinging their seats and kicking off of ours. We didn't wanna make a fuss during the ride, but as soon as we got off the guy turned to them and they made a remark of sorts, saying they were just trying to swing. and the guy i came with said they could go to a kiddie playground and swing if they wanted to act 5, when we were right next to the sign that said NOT TO TOUCH OTHER SWING SEATS. luckily didnt kill the mood though and me and the guy still had a blast. oddly enough later on in the day i saw the group of boys being escorted out by security from The Beast line. not sure what they did then, but i considered it kharma lol
  15. thats a fair point. i couldnt imagine orion as anything else. either way, im curious to see what this merge is going to do for the park.
  16. I wouldn't be mad about having more known IP around the park. I personally loved when paramount had everything IP themed. I just wish there was more theming on the rides themselves to make them more entertaining. Rather than just having the character slapped up on the entryway of the ride, have it incorporated throughout the ride with sounds, decor, etc. Action Zone desperately needs something new. I wouldn't be mad abut theming rides there around it. If you really didn't wanna change Banshee and The Bat, you could always have those rides as part of a little subsection in Action Zone, or maybe add rides where wild safari used to be and make that the DC zone. idk. not likely just a random thought. I would love to see more characters in kiddie land though. Like i get it, its for kids, and you dont need much there to entertain them, but I remember when it was Nickelodeon universe (and scooby randomly) and you had characters who walked around occasionally throughout the day, you had theming and character statues all over the area. it truly felt lik a properly themed and designed kiddie land to me. Charlie brown and the Peanuts is okay, but having a whole varied cast of characters gives the area a new depth.
  17. i never got to ride this, but it seems so cool. wish i couldve been born ten years earlier so i could experience it and SOB lol
  18. i want that Beast hoodie so bad, but I can't find my own self-justification to spend 70 dollars on a hoodie when i already have several cheaper ones from KI lol. I got the phantom theater one tho, which i think was cllose to 60-70, and that ones my favorite. but i dont see myself spending that much again lol
  19. When KI originally did , yes. I would be one to say it still has the themed areas, just nowhere near as much as they used to be, except for maybe Rivertown. The rest of them have dwindled down theme wise. If they do start using IP theming though, especially throughout the front area near kiddie lan and Action Zone, i wouldn't be mad about it. Action Zone needs theming redone desperately, and could make for a great DC Action Zone. kiddie land is fine, but the more characters the merrier I say.
  20. oh thats pretty neat. when did they change it to an axe throwing game? i didnt see it when i was there during haunt but i also couldve just overlooked it
  21. So to first clarify, I'm not talking about the games like ring toss that are meant to be carnival games. I meaning the areas like the basketball shooting game, the weight/age guessing game thing, the soccer game thats been basically abandoned. Do you think it would do better if KI were to take those mini games out? Do you think they should have more of those across the park? Or what would you put there in place of them?
  22. Not necessarily retheming, but I'd love to see additonal theming added to Race Your Life Charlie Brown. Its got some camping themes, but not as much as when it as the Wild Thornberrys ride. Id love just to see maybe statues of characters doing camping stuff as you go around the slide, or more audio of the characters playing as you ride through the slide. I'd love to see BLSC have more theming of Cincinnati icons and stuff, maybe theming like you're drving through the roads of Ohio. In the tunnel I know there used to be car lights and stuff, and I think it'd be cool to do something like that, or maybe referring to driving under tunnels on the interstate/main roads. And I love Mystic Timbers theming, but I wish they would add something to the shed. I just feel like its underwhelming ending it with a screen scare. Or even if you do still use it, maybe add stuff to the shed so it seems like the woods invaded the shed or something. With plants growing it and animal sounds of sorts, maybe even adding eyes behind the plants growing in to make it seem like somethings watching you in the shed.
  23. I never got to ride Phantom Theater but I heard good things about it in its prime. The scooby doo ride that replaced it wasnt too bad when I was younger, but when it got close to being replaced by boo blasters it had lost a lot of its luster. Now its just terrible, its a shell of what it once was just with random neon paint splatted around on everything. Everytime I went through it last summer I saw pieces literally sitting against the wall not even where it was supposed to be. I remember being able to see behind the library room because the fireplace piece wasnt even attached, it was behind the setup next to the actual wall. I like being able to sit for 10-15 minutes and cool off on a hot summer day, but the ride needs upgraded desperately. Would love to see phantom theater put back in there, but i dont see it happening.
  24. I think it would be cool for them to have videos playing in the Festhaus. Like maybe old pov videos of old defunct rides like King Cobra, SOB, or videos talking about Kings Islands history and rides. I know they have those sometimes in the que lines, but maybe something like that could be nice in the Festhaus. Keeps kids entertained watching the videos and also removes the loudness of the performing shows. Or even just minimizing how often the performing shows are and running the videos in between if you still want to do one or two live shows.
  25. i personally hate the monster ride specifically because of the loading setup. i just dont see it as worth the wait time, especially with how short it normally runs once you even are on.
