  1. Maybe it's just me because I'm obviously biased, but I think it will be open for a majority of the summer. After this season it will be removed or open maybe three weekends.
  2. I really like the design the used for the hoodies. I feel like that should've been the initial promo art (unless they sell posters maybe??) Even if it's not for opening weekend, I really hope we get some weird merch stuff.
  3. I think the park wouldn’t publicly release a POV until at least the end of the summer, since I feel like there’s a sense of mystery with a dark ride (especially one that you can record on yourself… I hope. I hope they didn’t change that rule from Boo Blasters) versus a coaster that shouldn’t have that many legal recordings of it. When they do I suspect it’ll be like the most recent Boo Blasters POV they did where it’s mostly for archival purposes, but it would be REALLY awesome if they implemented the source audio into a ride through (I also hope the source audio releases asap because I know I’ll want to listen to the theme song. Whether it’s a Sally Dark Rides post or something they share within any press kit during media day (if so lmk wink wink)
  4. That must really be disappointing for those who were chosen, I’m sorry if that applies to anyone here. From what I gather from some Facebook comments (assuming multiple people are telling the truth) there’s probably some last minute legal/logistical issue with the way they selected the actors, so they’re switching to a private casting company instead. I say this not to speculate over the events of a private event, but it’s not an issue in terms of the ride’s completion. If it wasn’t finished by now, they likely wouldn’t have sent the media invites.
  5. I do hope this is the last new thing from Phantom I see (I’ll be trying to avoid the spoilers next week from previews). Never to insult the work of whoever made the initial concept art, but I’m so glad we got the final designs that we did. Larry is looking ROUGH in these. That being said I do love seeing the concept art. I wonder if anymore scenes will emerge after the opening.
  6. New small look from KI’s instagram story which confirms there is a built in extended queue (which I hate short term because I am dreading any long wait times) but I know that the Boo Blaster’s queue did spill out frequently during the busier days, so this should save the employees from having to bring out temporary barriers.
  7. I will be upset if I get to the park next week (!!!) and they aren’t selling plushies of the characters. Also figures and a flashlight toy and other unique stuff like that.
  8. I really love the packaging of the invite box. If there’s any merch that requires packaging (doubtful for this season but there’s some cool merch opportunities with this) I hope they use a similar aesthetic. The Haunted Theater logo is a deep cut, I wonder if that’s concept art from the 1992 ride.
  9. Did they announce this anywhere? Edit: Nevermind I found it. That’s cool.
  10. I don’t like the eyes or the notes, the rest of the facade looks solid though. I’m not sure if it’s the finished landscaping or just a result of construction, but I love how deserted it looks. I actually really like the flashlights pointing at the sign, I think it’s clever. I’m curious what logo they’ll use.
  11. There was a relocated merch stand which could possibly be the structure if it hasn’t moved, which could justify having to build the concrete expansion. It could also be entrance for an extended queue line, as I think the assumption from most people is that they’re building one. For as excited as I am for Phantom, I’m sorta dreading the opening weekend for it. Here’s hoping that the weather is thundery and horrible, so that it’s a quirky thing because there’s a thunderstorm in the ride plot, but the line will maybe only be one hour instead of 4+.
  12. I forget the original sources, but at 0:13 in This video there’s videos of the old queue.
  13. Pirate Crypt is currently at $90,000. There’s no way I’m going to be able to afford anything from this. (I am assuming it’s a glitch or mistype on someone’s end, but you truly never know) Update: They switched it back but that would’ve been really funny.
  14. Another update which I think was mentioned already, but the ride will officially be open for opening day and for passholder previews. I’m not expecting a charity thing at this point, but who knows. Tomorrow is Friday the 13th so maybe they’ll launch something?? I was nervous hearing about this event today, but I do appreciate their respect for keeping most of the surprises until opening day (because even without seeking them out I definitely would’ve gotten spoiled if they showed everything off by now) and this was a fun (hopefully close to final) update to tide us over until opening day.
  15. Despite my wishes I have seen a few clips from Facebook (Since I don't mind them showing the queue and such, I've seen that already, I don't feel bad on commenting about them. I thought they'd be doing a full walkthrough.)
  16. I saw it on an account called Kerney-cation on Twitter so far, I’m sure there’s more. I legitimately don’t know if I can hold off on watching the clips from this for a month. One of the small easter eggs in the the clip I saw resold me on this ride for like the 5th time. I can’t wait.
  17. A warning for anyone else who’s trying to go in spoiler free for the actual ride experience (which I’ve decided is me at this point, but maybe people who frequent the construction updates may not share the same view). There’s a media construction tour of the new ride happening today, and there’s not a spoiler embargo (I’ve already seen some photos inside the ride), so be cautious on social media if you’re wanting to avoid that. But also maybe today we’ll get logistical updates like an opening date, so that would be cool to see.
  18. I'm not ruling out a first ride event until the opening date is confirmed, but that could also be coping. I believe the Siren's Curse charity event was announced about 20 days in advance, so even if Phantom opens at the start of the season we're still a week or two from hitting that. But I'm also still hopeful because that sounds like a fun event to attend.
  19. It is really funny to me how this isn’t like a charity thing and they’re just pocketing the money (as they’re allowed to do) I am curious (and scared frankly because I want something that’s within my budget) how much some of this stuff goes for. I’d actually imagine some of the smaller items would go less than the larger set pieces, but there’s no way of knowing.
  20. This is insanely cool. I am surprised they aren't using these for any park displays but I'm glad fans have an opportunity to get this stuff. Also I need all of this stuff, nobody else should bid except me so I can open my Boo Blasters museum.
  21. I love how the entire ride blueprints were allowed to be public record, but this isn’t. The fact that this needs a ride wait time sign scares me though, I wonder if they’ll sell single-use Fast Lane for it.
  22. I unironically thought there was like a slight change PTE might've had a third season if they hadn't posted a full recording on YouTube this week. I'm not expecting too much, because I think the ride itself return is a major accomplishment. Something very easy to do that I hope they put somewhere is bringing the displays from the Encore lobby somewhere in the park (whether that's in an indoor extended queue/meet and greet space inside Peanuts showplace if crowds necessitate that, or at a merch display). I think a smaller-scale PT show in the peanuts showplace (with Puppets maybe??) would be cool, but I can't realistically see that happening this season. Also whatever fireworks or drone show they have will probably have a Phantom Theater segment. Maybe a ride overlay or character thing will open for Haunt or Winterfest.
  23. The issue is screenshots never accurately show any activity, but earlier in the morning they had a concrete mixing truck and people within that area. You can faintly see the truck behind the trees. I don’t fully trust that’s what it is (it seems odd to only add a few feet to the pathway) but they had some landscaping work last week that I could vaguely see on the cams.
  24. Someone who might be more knowledgeable can correct me, but I believe today on the live cams they’re working on some concrete work to extend the pathway and make a short extended queue(???) and work on the facade will probably actually begin soon instead of my false alarms with the flooring company. I don’t know where this rumor started or if it was something confirmed in the permits that I still won’t check because of spoilers, but I think Plague Productions might be involved considering they just posted about construction season starting, and a Boo Blasters thing on their instagram story.
