  1. On normal operating days, it’s not busy back there. With just WindSeeker & Vortex’s exit it’s very calm. I suspect it will be just fine.
  2. I’m guessing they will try to keep the trees, if they can do it without removing them to deal with utilities. Those trees look great. Perfect natural setting.
  3. I figure most will find this interesting. The killer here is, Android phones continue to plummet in value. The Pixel 2 has lost 75% of its value since release. The original MSRP on the Pixel 2 is $749.00. The reality is, they are selling it for less because of its age, not the device price itself. Here’s the article. https://bgr.com/2018/09/06/iphone-x-vs-iphone-xs-price-value-release-date/
  4. Who knows. I wonder if major utilities are buried underneath the walkways of Coney Mall? That might explain some of that thought process and positioning it there.
  5. Just need something new that isn’t around other places. Besides the ABC gyroscope-like thing, it seems like flat ride design has become stagnant.
  6. Not another top spin. We already have one, no need for a second one. I’ll gladly take a zodiac, enterprise or ABC Tourbillon.
  7. It would be fine if that was the only area, but there are flats in AZ as well. I would like them to add flats near FoF/Firehawk and in Rivertown. Help even out the crowd a bit more. Every area should have 1-2 flat rides.
  8. What the park “wants” is irrelevant. It’s what the people want. Attendance or lack there of, speaks volumes.
  9. I’m fine with the cars coming back, but that’s a really cheap addition to the park. If they’d have said they were putting in a zodiac or some other thrill ride as well, I’d be fine with it. In the grand scheme of things, the thrill rides are extremely lacking. Need to get some new flats. Seriously. No more kiddie rides. More flat thrill rides. We don’t immediately need a new coaster, but don’t act like this is some big deal. The announcement is ‘Meh’.
  10. Such a waste for an announcement. Glad I’m away at school to learn. $10k for a car ride. Wonder how much season passes are going up by?
  11. I’d say it’s possible, but in the current configuration highly unlikely. If I remember correctly, there’s a cow catcher on the front of the locomotive and there is no front coupler on it. I think it’s just some kind of support bracket for the cow catcher.
  12. Found this YouTube video. I know everyone here will love it.
  13. This is what drove me from Android. None of Android phones would survive the full 2 years. The last 6 months were always tough with multiple restarts needed daily. So that’s the first issue. The second was about trade in value at the end of 2 years. Android phones aren’t worth anything, because they bring out new phones every month or two. Wife trades in iPhone in good shape, gets about $300. I trade it Android phone in great shape and it might be worth $100 if I’m lucky. With what smartphones cost now, that is pathetic. I’d rather have the device that’s worth more in the end. I’ll pocket the extra cash instead of wasting it.
  14. That whole idea of having ride exits dump into stores at the end only works forever in places that people only visit a few times, like Disney World. KI has done this a few times, and after a couple of years they just end up closing it. I’m guessing when rides are brand new, it’s popular and easy place to sell clothes & souvenirs. I’m sure the draw of that quickly dwindles after a few years. As long as they can do it for cheap when the ride is built, it’s probably a worth it as long as there is a decent ROI.
  15. Change The Beast and you are asking for an uprising. I like the thought of a Vortex refresh or even The Racer. Those are standard out and back designs, so I’d be ok with that. The Vortex has always seemed to be that certain parts are too flat or not banked at all. I think changing some of the elements while keeping 6 inversions would make for a remarkable improvement!
  16. Agree wholly! Shape the rides to the terrain, not the other way around. It gives everything a more natural feel. Some rides at KI are better at this than others. In some cases, some now defunct rides were awful at this.
  17. I dont think so. Boo blasters is on a track and doesn’t have any water.
  18. As long as there isn’t lightning, it probably won’t be closed at all.
  19. I have an iPhone 7, but I’m due for an upgrade in September. We’ll see what the second X looks like.
  20. This isn’t worth it. I had enough issues early on in the season with my unlimited drink plan. Essentially an employee screwed it up and activated it incorrectly, indicating I had a refillable cup, which I did not. In the end, I had to call customer service, talk to 3 different people and then still visit guest services at the park to again explain the situation and they “reset” our unlimited drink plan to work right. It was a huge pain in the @$$. I got it fixed, but jeez, guests shouldn’t have to deal with this, when an employee makes an error.
  21. We need more adult flats. Delirium and WindSeeker are no longer new top thrills. Delirium’s paint job looks like someone vomited on it. Time for something new. Vortex doesn’t need to go. Maybe they can use Eiffel Tower as a lift hill support? You heard it here first! [emoji848]
  22. I’m in Disney now. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train smokes both AE & BTMRR and I love both of those rides.
  23. If I remember correctly, it was built to be heavily themed and be as much Indiana Jones like as possible. There used to be mist all along the low track and parts where arrows came up and down in the tunnels as well as a number of skeletons along the ride. There was a track closed sign as well at one of the tunnels. When Paramount owned KI, they played the Raiders March, aka the Indiana Jones theme through the overhead speakers along with commentary. I have always liked AE as a coaster. Great starter coaster for growing kids. My 6 year old son rides it and just rode Stunt Coaster for the first time a few weeks ago. A park has to have in betweens for the transition from kids rides to bigger ones. I figure The Bat will be his next one. He likes steel coasters best.
