I think a standard hotel like what Carowinds has with Springhill Suites would probably work better. I would imagine it being a more affordable option compared to GWL, and I don't think an indoor waterpark is really necessary when Soak City is a short walk from where that concept is. Although, the downside of that would be that you wouldn't be able to do the waterpark during bad weather. I do think there is going to be a slight attendance bump with the new Midwest Gold Passes. Cedar Point explicitly markets that you can go to Kings Island with a Cedar Point gold pass, so the Sandusky/Cleveland market will have more of an incentive to travel south to Kings Island.

A Mack water coaster or rocking boat would look great here.

I'm wondering how a park like Great Adventure handled their Flash Pass/Fast Lane system, considering most of the notable coasters there require all loose articles to be placed in a locker.

I stayed there last month with a group I was with. The thing I like most about the GWLs I've stayed at (Mason and Sandusky) is that the rooms are quite large and nice. The waterpark itself is fine, though it isn't really that big so it can get quite crowded in there. Apparently there used to be a water coaster there, but it seems it was removed due to maintenance issues and I wasn't really impressed by the slide they replaced it with. (Weirdly enough, it's named River Racer, though it opened before Kings Island's River Racers) The food there is also okay, but it is overpriced. There is MagiQuest there, though I personally didn't do it. Personally, I do think the GWL in Mason is better than the one in Sandusky since it has a slightly larger water park. The thing with GWL is that they have a lot of locations across the country, but I find their waterparks to just be okay. There are better resorts out there that give GWL a run for their money, like with Kalahari and the Wilderness Resort. However, those you have to go out of your way to travel to, whereas GWL is a lot more accessible, especially since it's right across the street from Kings Island.

I bought my gold season pass during the MVP sale. Besides Kings Island, the other Six Flags parks I plan on visiting this year are Cedar Point, Kings Dominion and Six Flags Over Georgia. Two of those parks are in the eastern region, so I would've needed an all-park passport anyways to visit those parks.

Six Flags has unveiled a new pass structure for their parks. Gold Passes will now allow access to parks in certain regions, whereas Prestige Passes will allow access to all Six Flags properties. If Gold Passholders purchased an All Park Passport for 2026 (excluding ones given out during the MVP sale), their Gold Pass will be upgraded to a Prestige Pass for 2026. edit: It seems the All Park Passport will still be available as an additional add-on for Gold Season Passes. Though it remains to be seen what exactly the prices would be for a Gold Season Pass with the All Park Passport compared to just buying a Prestige Pass that already has that included.

Add an additional 15ft to the lift hill (302ft) and the first drop (315ft). This would make it taller than Millennium Force, but still not as tall as Fury 325. Also, there wouldn't be people arguing whether or not it's a giga. Change some of the elements to be lower to the ground to better emphasize the sense of speed Add one or two more elements before heading into the final brake run This is just what I would do if I had the opportunity to change the ride. I would still keep it smaller than something like Fury 325, since that is the standout coaster for that park and would still give people more of a reason to travel to Carowinds. However, the added height would still give it an advantage over something like Millennium Force, which is currently 26 years old. This is just a what-if scenario however, as I feel there are other things that should be a much higher priority to address, such as that 6-year old dirt pile in the back of Coney Mall...

That would be nice. I don't like having to download separate apps for both Kings Island and Cedar Point. Having all the parks in one app would be far more convenient.

Interestingly, I also saw a billboard for Gatlinburg driving I-71N near Norwood. (The opposite direction you would be going if you were going to Gatlinburg)

I think I saw that billboard a few months back coming back from Cedar Point. Not sure if it was digital or not.

I might miss some things, but here's some of the new additions I've been able to find in counter-clockwise order: Looks either like a Junior Whip ride or a relocation of the bumper cars in the bottom left corner Zamperla Disc-O and Barnyard near Lightning Run Looks like a Flying Carousel ride similar to Dumbo at Disneyland. It's hard to tell specifically, but it seems to resemble flying pigs. Located to the left of the entrance A Zierer Wave Swinger and Zamperla Nebulaz to the right of the entrance An attraction with white track. (Himalaya appears to be removed or relocated somewhere else in the park) Some sort of red-tracked addition to the left of the showstage. This also could just be decorations. Tin Lizzies seems to be rethemed with tractors A blue coaster in the plaza area of Discovery Meadow. This might actually just be Hollyhock and Roll, as some attractions don't appear to be in the right areas in this rendering. Some sort of new pool area in the waterpark. This also looks to be some sort of show stage as well.

The park also announced they are doing a multi-year plan for the next decade. It's going to be interesting to see how much the park is going to change within that time period. Kentucky Kingdom put out a survey not too long ago that focused on some sort of indoor family coaster, so maybe that's going to be next?

Travis Kelce is involved with an investment group that has recently announced their partnership with Six Flags.

That or at least give them a partial refund for the 5 hours that were cut. I was there earlier today when they made the announcement, and I saw several guests complaining about not being able to get a refund. It would be really nice if the park had a "Worry-Free Weather Guarantee" like a certain other park has, but corporate certainly wouldn't approve of that.

FYI: They're closing the park early today at 6pm.

That would be nice to see. SFOG has meet and greets with the characters from Monster Mansion, so it's definitely possible.
