  1. In the summer, 1-day tickets range from about $39.99 to $44.99 with weekends being more expensive. However, tickets for the fall seem to range from only $19.99 to $24.99 according to their website. Parking would run you about $15 per car, however, there is a list of free parking days that are listed on the Kentucky Kingdom website. Also note that parking at Kentucky Kingdom can be weird, as the parking lot is shared with the Kentucky Expo Center, so some lots may be unavailable depending on if you go during an event at the Expo Center. This might also affect the price of parking as well.
  2. It doesn't help that Kings Island already has a Vekoma SFC. Granted, it's not as modern or smooth, but it would still be difficult to market.
  3. It seems the park has taken the event off their website and their social media posts about it.
  4. I know this was posted as a joke, but I do hope Six Flags keeps Phantom Theater exclusive to Kings Island. I do think the other Boo Blasters will get redone at some point, but hopefully with their own exclusive themes and characters.
  5. I had a dream last night that Son of Beast reopened at the park. It was SBNO for 17 years instead of being torn out and it recieved a massive retracking project and a launch for some reason. After I woke up, I had slight back pain which obviously wasn't great, but I do find it funny it happened after a dream riding Son of Beast.
  6. Kroger has a coupon for 4x fuel points if you shop there on Fridays. I’m going to start hoarding fuel points for my Virginia trip in June.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if Invertigo closes the same year the park starts construction on whatever is replacing Vortex.
  8. I've heard that Mike Koontz didn't want to remove anymore coasters after Vortex during his tenure. Not sure if that had anything to do with it, but he is no longer park president.
  9. It would only be a single new train since it's still an inverted boomerang that can only run with one. I think it would be a cool touch if they did those colors for the top of the lift hills, vertical loop and the cobra roll. Depending on the budget, I think on-board audio like what's on Siren's Curse would also help add some nice theming to the attraction that you don't really have with the other coasters in the park. I don't think it's that unlikely Vekoma would bring back an inverted boomerang, considering they developed a new boomerang model like what you have with Flash at Six Flags Great Adventure. Whether or not Vekoma builds something like that depends on the demand for a new inverted boomerang model.
  10. It seems this applies to all Six Flags properties that didn't already have lodging listed on their properties. Cedar Point, Carowinds and Kings Dominion still link to their on-site properties. EDIT: Carowinds has an "off-site hotel packages" tab listed under Places to Stay.
  11. I doubt this would ever happen, but if Kings Island doesn't plan on removing Invertigo anytime soon, would it be possible they could order a new train from Vekoma? It would be similar to how some parks have bought new trains for their SLCs, though obviously it would have to be modified to be able to work with a Vekoma Invertigo model. The park could also tie this in with a retheme to Screamin' Demon to pay homage to that former attraction, which also went forwards and backwards.
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if 2027 ends up being an off-year for the park, or some very minor addition(s)/refurbishments. Kings Island has added new family attractions for the past four seasons in a row, plus Six Flags already has several 2027 projects in the works for other parks in the chain. I highly doubt we're going to see anything like a Vortex replacement or other significant coaster built for 2027. Although, I do have some ideas of what the park could add (if they decide to add anything at all) Begin a retheme of Action Zone: I imagine this would likely be a multi-year expansion project similar to Jungle Xpedition at Kings Dominion. The first phase would be rather minor, focusing on ride and restaurant rethemes. It's also possible we could see some sort of flat ride being added. Rivertown: To be specific, the pathway between the Eiffel Tower and Rivertown where the Shooting Star cafe is. I could see this being a good area to do another flat ride package similar to Adventure Port. Front gate: Refurbish the front gate plaza and the facade of the front gate to be more modern and welcoming to park guests. Soak City: Although Soak City has recently recieved new additions in 2025, they still have land to do some more expansion if they really wanted to.
  13. On a Six Flags budget? No way!
  14. A lot of people have been saying the structure is in bad condition due to being left abandoned for so long. If this is true, I'm curious as to why it hasn't been demolished yet.
  15. Did anybody else notice the park didn't put up any signs at all for the grand carousel's 100th anniversary? The park probably realized they would have to use something other than AI to honor that type of anniversary.
  16. Used my second meal at Grain & Grill. I wanted to get the roasted pork there, but they were out of it when I went, so I ended up just getting the chicken tenders with alfredo instead. I will advocate for Grain and Grill having the best chicken tenders in the park, though it's still chicken tenders at the end of the day. I do really appreciate the switch to alfredo, as it is one of my favorite pasta options and I'm glad it's now available at the park. I've seen some people upset that the alfredo replaced the macaroni and cheese that used to be served at Grain & Grill, but that's still being served at Coney BBQ so I can just get it there if I wanted it that much. I prefer it when the different restaurants have separate options from one another so you're not just getting the same thing. I'm going back to the park tomorrow and I'll use my first meal at Grain & Grill to try and get that roasted pork.
  17. Perhaps they have that to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the USA?
  18. It’s playing in Action Zone right now. The theme of a ride that is now defunct, yet still there…
  19. I just stopped and got food at Coney BBQ. The portion sizes they were serving still seem to be rather generous. I’ve noticed they changed to waffle fries for this season, but they still use the same seasoning.
  20. Dollywood at home. Now we just need Cinnamon Bread
  21. Looks like I already got my wish!
  22. I'm not currently at the park so I don't know.
  23. I didn't mind the jazz, but I found it to be very repetitive due to the lack of variety of songs. That one jingle is still stuck in my head, if you know you know. I really wish Kings Island would bring back the orchestral music one day.
