Yeah, I'm not looking for any surprises in the layout. Not counting it out at this point but highly doubting it. Lol. But, something to ponder. I do not recall seeing the base of the lift backbone being poured yet. Could it be a possibility that the lift angle could change (which would raise the height) without changing the footing locations. I'm not an engineer by any means. If you're laying on the ground bleeding, I'm your guy. But I just ride coasters, dont design or build them. Hahaha. I guess I'm trying to say, could they have changed the lift angle at some point (obviously a while ago) and then either decided to or inadeverntantly file the plans with the incorrect angle. Not sure if that is possible. I'm sure the armchair engineers in this forum will tear this apart but I am genuinely curious about it. Could be the reason for all the "mistakes" in the posters and blog posts. Just a theory though

Not trying to start any arguments but one of two things is going to be discovered Thursday. Either the park is marketing this as a "record breaker" and it's going to beat current park records. Or...everything we thought we knew is wrong. Lol. I'm not saying I wouldn't be completely shocked if Cedar Fair managed to file a not quite accurate set of prints to throw everyone off. But at this point, I can't say I would either. And before everyone jumps back onto the whole there's no way construction has already started kick, I'm well aware. I'm not saying anything major is changing with the layout. But I wouldn't be shocked to see things not in the leaked prints. Not sure what just yet. But maybe something. Find out in 36 hours.

This whole teaser campaign had to take a lot of effort. I know how time consuming it was for my dept to chart coordinates for medical helicopter LZs in our area and we didn't have many. Thank you to those who did this, it's been fun. Little over 36 hours left. Lol

See I am that guy. I've always been told every single soul on this rock has a gift... mine is sarcasm. Lol. I will be "that guy" but trust me, it is all in good fun. I think this will be a 4.998 out of 5 stars. Coulda gave it 5/5 if it woulda been 5 foot taller. Lol

Today was pretty crazy. Swore I wouldn't go down at all today. Then I remembered we have not seen a single show this year. Lol. Spent the first couple hours riding coasters, checking construction site. The it was an afternoon/evening of shows. Did notice that both Gravity and Space Beagle seemed to have a similar theme of contact with aliens. Sorry if someone else has already brought this up. But just thought it was pretty cool and all. Great show all around btw.

I am indeed getting my hopes up... for a kick a** ride. This thing doesn't have to break any records to be just that. I doubt CF, KI or B&M are going to disappoint. That said, I'm not counting anything out at this point. Way too many unknowns. As well as too many wierd things with this whole teasing campaign. Like I've said before. I have serious doubts that anyone involved with the park would just miss that many "mistakes". Not on what could be the biggest investment this park has ever made. Could just be trolling to throw everyone of but I'd bet that they all mean something. 7 days, 6 hours and 1 min as of typing this... lol

I'm seriously thinking all the typos aren't really typos at all. I can't see the park suddenly just saying f*** it, no more proofreading. I think we'll start on what could be our biggest project ever.

I'd say it's probably not an Intamin specific part. Whelen makes a lot of strobes for that purpose. Just a guess though

Just got off the phone with KI guest relations. Don't bother calling yet, they have no info. Didn't even know untill the 20th call what everyone was talking about. Lol. Said they should have info (public or not) next week if they recieve any.

I most definately will be there. Already had to take the day off work for the kids school stuff. they dont have school till the 19th. Really excited now.

Saw that comment as well. Didn't really strike me as "from the park staff" immediately like some of the others. I'm kinda leaning towards someone trolling. I personally think the change.org comments from the park were setting up the backstory/ thememing more so than hinting at the name.

I could poke the manufacturer b eww ar here... but I will let him sleep. He seems peaceful. Lol. I do get that, I've heard a lot of people complain about the clamshell. On ther other side, heard many praise then. I personally love them

I completely get what your saying. Believe me when I sat that I am in no way believing any of this is going to happen and I will be extremely happy with whatever we get. I guarantee this will be the best giga I've ever rode, regardless... lol. I'm just trying to look at possible reasons (other than just trying to hide them) as to why the complete plans haven't been filed yet. Just didnt know if they would change the layout on the electrical plans. Kinda agree it's wierd that the complete plans haven't been filed yet if the previous layout is indeed correct. Just wondering if there's something the remaining plans would reveal that the others didn't and the park wants to keep it hidden as of now. Just speculation.

Hypothetically, what if that isn't the final layout. Since the ride isn't being built completely off those prints. Would the track layout mater on those plans? I know the footing locations would need to be correct but would the heights, track profile, etc matter (exception of the lift of course). Meaning, if they decided at a later time before the plans were finalized, could they, say, swap a straight section for a zero g roll with the same support locations without needing to change the layout on the electrical plans? Sorry if that is confusing cause I confused myself typing it.

It is highly unlikely at this point. The blueprints are not going to "change". The plans for this ride have been finalized for quite sometime. The only thing that is remotely plausible would be once the complete prints are approved/ released that they include sonething boot seen in the original electrical plans. CSF would not have begun making track and supports without a finalized plan. So somebody somewhere had the final plans at this point and I can say with 99.99% certainty that those will not change. What's on them though is anyone here's guess.

Sorry for the double post but found this in the petition comments. I honestly think the park is trolling about inversions but there have been like 4 or 5 references to some type of inversion. Maybe that is the record for this one and reason for "mediocre stats". Probably not I know. But if it is, hopefully they have a bio team to clean up after the announcement after all those minds are blown.

I'm going to stick to my paranormal theme idea. I think the park is going to try and tie all the "strange happenings" around the park to this ride. It would be awesome for us to "find out" that everything is because of Hanger 18 and X-Base if that makes sense. Could start be the start of not only an x-base expansion, but bringing KI back to being more of an actual theme park as opposed to just an amusement park. They've started to do that with just about every other area of the park already. It's time for X-Base to be more than just a dead end behind Racer. With the blog from Chad yesterday, I can't help but wonder if that's what is planned.
