I really hope they don't do this. I don't know what BLSC gets so much hate but I really don't think that one should go anywhere. If they had to remove something I'd say it's gotta be Vortex.

I don't believe this is the same person that spoke of the announcement on Reddit yesterday. I'm not 100% convinced, and we'll know soon enough whether or not they were telling the truth, but I'm not discounting it either. This person said they were an employee of the park, but wouldn't say which department. They deleted the thread shortly after posting it (at least I think it was them, r/rollercoaster Mod said he was going to allow it to stay up.) which reminds me of the leaked layout from earlier. If I had to bet on it right now, I think it's legit. We'll see though.

You didn't miss much. He said the announcement would be August 14th at 10pm in Xbase, and that the park will be open the extra 2 hours (park closes at 8 that day) to accommodate for that. He also said there would be no teasers.

I'm actually going to break NDA and give you guys a little inside baseball...I don't have a source to cite officially so you might want to screen cap this while you can: CF Intamin coasters actually require a human sacrifice every few hours in order to continue operations. If you've ever been standing in a long line for a CF ride and you see someone with a FLP go past you, and not immediately come back and go right past you again to get on the ride for a 2nd/3rd/4th/5th/ or 6th time before you move a couple of feet, that's actually where they went. Their sacrifice is what keeps MF, Maverick and I305 going. So the next time you see some dude looping past you for the 10th time while you've still only made it from the bottom of the staircase at Diamondback, to halfway up said staircase in half an hour, be sure to thank them for what they're about to give in the name of coaster enthusiasts everywhere!

So what do you guys think about this rumored announcement date? It seems to fit the timeline of past announcements. Just curious if anyone has any major doubts, or strong opinions in favor. It could obviously be totally fake but I have a feeling it's not.

Oh they definitely won't. Asking about the blueprints and bringing up theming were two separate thoughts I believe.

Yeah that theory has been brought up many times. If this is their idea of "teasing" I'm not a fan.

I mean I can only tell you that most of the time when I leave the park intending to come back I don't bother to get my hand stamped and just use my pass to get back in. I've never been told it was only good for one entry per day, and I've done it many many times over the last couple seasons. Not sure about Cedar Point though I'm just able to say about KI.

Yeah I know this is kind of dorky and doesn't really matter, but I really do hope the trailer is as good as the Banshee one, that's been my favorite so far. MT left something to be desired as far as I'm concerned. Yeah I really don't think this is going to feel like Diamondback. I love Diamondback though, not boring to me in the slightest.
