  1. B&M wing coaster would be so much better.
  2. It’s a shame that Kings Island did not get a Mac bobsled or a Schwarzkopf looping coaster at some point. Both are excellent manufacturers his rides hold up well for many decades. Sooperdooperlooper at Hersheypark rides smooth as possible after 43 years. Kings Dominions 32 year old bobsled is an excellent ride although a little short
  3. Sounds like the failed Windjammer at Knotts that eventually lead to Togo’s demise. https://rcdb.com/294.htm
  4. Winterfest in the snow ❄️
  5. The meal plans are pretty low pice Compared to individual meals. 10 meals break even. the issue is probably that people have taken such big advantage of these season passes and meal plans they are getting upset that they won’t get 50 meals or 25 visits this year. But it’s a sense of entitlement. I do think that Cedar Fair has excellent customer service and They will will do things to make their customers happy. Unlike six flags.
  6. You are right. Season passes are cheap Compared to individual tickets! And you only have to go a few times to get your moneys worth. These people think they are in the park for $100-200 season pass! They should appreciate that they get into the park so cheaply for a whole year And be willing to support the park in a time like this
  7. I’ll gladly take more Winterfest days. It’s my favorite time of year to go to the park. longer hours at Winterfest would be nicer. Five hours goes quickly at that of that evemt
  8. Dodgem was closed many times last year due to rain. I would guess they had to re roof it so they did more renovation
  9. Exactly Was it really necessary to remove all those trees? Especially at the turn around so close to The Beast!
  10. RMCs definitely have their flaws. Some of their attempts at unique airtime end up being jerky and/or they try to cram too much into a short distance. The first half of Twisted Timbers is great. The second half is a great example of Trying to do too much in a short length of track and making a jerky ride. The final bunny hops of steel vengeance are also another example The final bunny hops of steel vengeance are also another example

The parks that run trams (Hershey, Busch, Herschend, Disney) have parking that’s a good hike from the entrance. It keeps people in the park for the day more, which could increase in park spending and offset some of the cost of the trams. The Taft parks were designed with parking right on to the entrance
  12. Didn’t S&S buy Arrow? If so, wouldn’t they be producing parts to maintain the many Arrows still out there? The Arrows being removed are bad rough rides. AE is a little klunky but not a bad ride. Cedar Points mine train is over 50 years old and still rides great. Carolina Goldrusher is 47 and also great. AE should be renovated and marketed as a new ride. Not removed. Rethemed to match Oktoberfest and a long helix added after the final lift hill. It would give the park a “new” ride at Low cost. Every park should have a Mine train.
  13. Kings Dominion and Carowinds have retained their original, big arbor tunnels (although the structures have been replaced). It is a shame the Kings Island was removed. Now it’s just a bunch of umbrella tables and a wood wall
  14. Yes. That’s the biggest improvement needed in the park. Look at past photos and see how many trees have been lost. The park is barren and miserable in the heat. Kings Dominion is the opposite and a much more beautiful park.
  15. The theater would be best converted to a new indoor live entertainment venue. Especially for Winterfest
  16. Agree. All the wood coasters at KI have great ridership.
  17. The parks started becoming run down during the Lindner years as well. I remember going to Carowinds in 80 and it was gorgeous. By 88, the cable skyway, Hillbilly Jalopies, Flying Dutchman and Black Widow has been removed. They were actually running the hillbilly cars on the modern speedway track out of theme 88 was the last year for White Lightnin’ as well. Several things were repainted in a drab green color including the Scooby Doo coaster. I remember thinking they must have gotten a discount in that color paint. But compared to the damage Paramount inflicted on the parks, the Lindner years looked good. Cedar Fair, especially after Ouimet became involved, saved the Taft parks. They feel much more like the Taft days now. The Six Flags merger was scary because they are way over indebted, and have dirty, poorly operated, weed filled, mis themed parks.
  18. In that scenario one would get excellent theming and price jumps annually and maybe more. Cedar Fair has been doing great theming on their own as of lately so Disney is not needed!
  19. I always thought Vortex Invaded the isolation of The Beast. But now Orion will do that even more.
  20. Let’s hope they aren’t removing more trees. The park is becoming pretty barren with all of the tree removal and lack of replacement over the last several years
  21. Cedar Fair has been cleaning up the coaster collection. Everything they have installed at the park has been excellent. And the coasters they have removed have been rough. Invertigo and Junkyard Coaster are the only crap coasters left in the park now. The removal of both and replacement with quality attractions would be great improvements to the park.
  22. Thanks for the work on this.
  23. Kings Dominion is such a beautiful park fior that exact reason.
  24. Planting trees all over the park is the biggest improvement they could make. Very little shade around the park anymore. it would be nice if Area 72 gets a flat ride and some themed buildings. Oktoberfest is is desperate need of a remake and Action Zone needs a theme in the meantime n
  25. I was talking in general how it is now a practice in the theme park industry to not stay open as advertised. Kennywood is the worst for that. But Kings Dominion, another CF park, is also getting a bad reputation for that. If is acceptable at one CF park, it’s probably going to spread to them all as common practice. Carowinds closed five hours early this fall with no bad weather on a Saturday because of low attendance.
