That's true, we don't know what KI plans to do. Many of us had no idea that 2001 would be King Cobra's last year. I wish I would have known cause I would have surly rode it one last time in 01. I even worked at the park in 2001, and they didn't say anything to us. So who knows.

I really wouldn't think though Sling Shot will be removed, but anything is possible. We didn't think the Flying Eagles would be removed either and it did.

I miss Flying Eagles, my mom allways thought it would crash for some reason.

One of the 3 towers snapped the first winter (2002) due to a condition called 'Vortex shedding'.

Making money is one thing, but riders' safety is a horse of a different color. I'm sure if it does happen it won't be because of money (both trips I've taken to KI there have been people sitting in a full queue for Sling Shot).

I don't no but that would freaking suck at 300 feet.

I may have seen this video somehow...All i have seen is a person starting to slip out the bottom of the restraint but never really coming close to falling out.

It was not the ride at Cedar Point. The video in question is a video of a Sling Shot ride that only uses seat belts on not an actual restraint bar like on ours. A overweight kid slide down out of seat but not out of the ride.

Well i belive that the Slingshot isnt being tooken down but how come its not listed on Kings Island's rides???
