October 27, 200619 yr I just checked the park website, and it alerts that the haunted attractions of Fear Fest MAY NOT be open tonight, due to inclement weather. I assume that rides will still be open, though.
October 27, 200619 yr Yeah should be a great night for a spin on the rides. With the frigid weather and rain. I would imagine tonight KI will be a ghost town...
October 27, 200619 yr That alert only says the outdoor ones, so the indoor ones should still be in operation, along with whatever rides can safely run. Should be a pretty slow night.
October 27, 200619 yr Assuming, of course, there is adequate staffing. . . I understand some of the staff may have quit and/or been terminated of late.
October 27, 200619 yr Thats not a surprise. I'm surprised they are opening at all this evening, I bet hardly anyone will show up.

October 27, 200619 yr Yeah, I`d imaging that not a lot of people will be there tonight, myself included. I originally had planned to go today, but changed my plans. I can take cold and I can take rain, but when you add the two together, not good. Besides, with it raining as hard as it is, some of those outdoor rides, if open, will not be fun but painful! I`m actually surprised they haven`t cancelled everything tonight. I`m sure they are not going to make a profit tonight by the time they get done paying all the employees.
October 27, 200619 yr If it stays cold AND wet, the old Paramount Parks would have closed early. It will be interesting to see what Cedar Fair's Kings Island does. Just a few short years ago, Cedar Point didn't run wood coasters in even the slightest bit of rain. And used to block off the back portions of coaster trains (and yet run all trains) when they weren't busy. In just the past several years, they began not stopping wood coasters for rain (but of course they don't run in thunderstorms). And they now block off middle sections of trains when they aren't busy (though I have not seen or heard of them doing this at the old CBS parks yet).
October 27, 200619 yr I was at Cedar Point late August it was was misting out and they closed alot of thier rides.

October 28, 200619 yr Yeah, alot of people have quit and/or have been fired recently... I think it's only because KI doesn't "change it up". Me, I was out front EVERY night... never got the chance to go in and scare some people. That's ok with me, I loved staying character all night. But I know some other people were getting REALLY tired of their spot and had asked if they could switch with me, managers said no. I don't know why, it's not hard at all to host... anyone can do it! Hopefully CF will fix some of the problems like this at KI and really make it a BLAST to work thier! -Hauntguy
