November 12, 200619 yr I really hope that that the new owners will tear down Top Gun and put a new ride (sorry Top Gun fans) ~BEASTFreak
November 12, 200619 yr What is wrong with Top Gun? It's a unique coaster to KI. Yeah it's a long hike to get back to the ride, and the ride is short, but it's a good ride. It runs good, it's smooth, and it's fast.
November 12, 200619 yr Yeah whats wrong with Top Gun. If you catch it on a good day it feels like you are doing about 65 and you get some really good swings in. But even on a bad day it is a must ride still. Plus if there is a short line then when you exit you can just hop right over that little gate thing or walk through it when it is open and get right back in line.
November 12, 200619 yr Hopping right over that little gate thing under Cedar Fair jurisdiction is just apt to get you thrown out of the park. It is a violation of safety regulations.
November 12, 200619 yr Yes, as if the gate is closed and one hops over it, one has gotten in front of those entering the line who would have reached the gate before you could get back to it by following the path the park WANTED you to follow...thus, it IS linejumping.
November 12, 200619 yr But don't they keep it open for the fact your able to cut thru it, if you wanted to ride again? Same as White Water Canyon they have those gates they are something open from the exit path to the entrance path.
November 12, 200619 yr Well, on slow days they open the gate for the purpose of letting people go through and get back in line... If the park opens the gate, I say fair game. Now, if it's closed and you go through anyway, then yes...I'd say bad.
November 13, 200619 yr I'd have to agree. Many parks have those cut through gates and essentially there is no other reason for them. If the gates are open I would say use them.
November 13, 200619 yr Uh, there's no problem with USING them. The problem was when JASPER0181691 said he would climb over it if it was closed. If it's closed, it isn't supposed to be used. In recent years, it is almost always open.
November 13, 200619 yr I haven't seen that gate closed in at least three years, unless the line made it that far out.
