I know its early...but last year the countdown to opening day in the spring got me through a lot of crappy Ohio weather days.....I hope we can have it again! Thanks for a great site!

Well, first lets get through WinterFest! Not to mention the fact that PKI hasn`t revealed when their opening day will be in 2006. Either the first or second weekend in April most likely.

I doubt there's much truth behind that. In fact, my guess is that within the next few years, April and May will have several sellout days similar to September. It seems as though that's a good way to get people into the park during a dead season.

That would SUCK. I go EVERY weekend in April and May.

Yeah, I hope that PKI keeps all the sellouts in September (save for the one on the first Sunday in June). While pre season might not be as busy as the full season, the park can still get fairly crowded in April and May if the weather is nice. But the park doesn`t have an attraction like FearFest in the post season to attract people to the park. Do I see it happening? Possibly, but for my sake, I hope not.

Oh man dont say that I go to the park more in April and May than June or July.

Yeah, that is exactly what I said. No sense in wishing the park to be closed when we can`t at least go up there and ride a couple of rides. That will come soon enough in January!

Agreed. As far as we're concerned, it's not the offseason quite yet, so we'll start eagerly anticipating 06 in January.

I was just poking fun at all of the rumor threads that go around here, especially in the off-season.

I understand that Opening Day is on This Friday Again.

The park reopens each Friday until Winterfest goes to daily operation. <G>

Winterfest is going to be daily operation?

Yes. Starting the week of the 18th, I believe. (I could be wrong on the dates)

I hope to get to winterfest and i can't wait until opening day. April and May are the best times to go.
