Title says it all. It's there, but can't be edited.

Edit to clarify: It shows on the profile, but isn't available in Edit Profile.

I've wondered the same thing. Tried to remove it in the past. Not to sound like a millennial but... No one uses AIM anymore

It doesn't even exist anymore. AIM, MSN, and Yahoo Messenger are all dead.

Any update? I’m in the same boat. 

@malem I recall a bug with an Invision upgrade a number of years ago where the profile field with the id of “1” broke the permissions to edit that field. For me, that was the AIM field. If that’s the cause, all you have to do is make sure the Members group has permission to edit that field. 

Please let us make the edit, I can no longer live with my 2006 screename as a reminder of a cringier past.
