November 9, 20223 yr After Paramount announced the end of Winterfest after its 2005 season, Kings Island Central members have been home to some of the most passionate and vocal Kings Island fans for the return of Winterfest. Once Cedar Fair purchased Kings Island from Paramount, there was hope that Cedar Fair would revive the holiday tradition. In 2017 that dream became a reality as Cedar Fair resurrected the event and boy did they deliver. It came back better than ever and in just two seasons became a top-rated holiday event across the industry. There was no Winterfest in 2020 due to Covid, but returned in 2021. In 2022 Winterfest will start its 5th season! Over the past week, Kings Island has been taking advantage of the nice weather to get the 364-acre amusement park ready for the 2022 WinterFest. The annual holiday tradition features more than five million lights, ice skating on the famous Royal Fountain, the 314 ft. tall Eiffel Tower transformed into a Christmas tree, select rides, and live shows. WinterFest opens in just 16 days, the day after Thanksgiving. November 18, 20223 yr Looks like there will not be a buffet at brewhouse this year. This is the year I was going to try it but this is fine too. Another place to warm up is a plus!
November 22, 20223 yr Has KI made any announcement if the new flat rides will be able to operate during Winter fest next year?

November 23, 20223 yr I would hope at least Cargo Loco would be able to operate. But like IndyGuy4KI said, I would hope that any new ride installs would have the ability to operate during Winterfest, barring minimum operating requirements.
