When did the Star Trek Characters first appear in the park. When did they last appear? Why did they get rid of them? The only place I saw them was Coney Mall. I thought they were cool!

i dont know any of the answers to the questions, but all i do know is that i dont think i have ever seen any star trec characters at pki... since i am only 12 all i can say is that i dont think they have been there since around 1997.... i hope that helps to answer any of the questions.

They got rid of most HB characters because the change in the generations caused most young guests to not be familiar with most HB characters. They got rid of the Star Trek characters because younger guests were scared of them.

The Star Trek charachters appeared the first year Paramount bought the parks (1993) as Paramount produced the Star Trek series. They were discontinued after i think two years. My guess is that they weren't that popluar and required a makeup artist to be on staff as opposed to just zipping people into the cartoon characters. Also, they were pretty scary looking.

I think that the Star Trek characters should be brought back. If the Klingons scared the kids, just used regular people in Star Fleet uniforms.........or have some wear pointy ears to look Vulcan. That's my opinion. After all, PKI is a PARAMOUNT park.

I miss the Star Trek people! I really, really wanted to be a ST character when I was young, it didn't matter which ones! There were normal humans, Klingons, Vulcans and Ferangi. I wasn't scared of any of them! They used to hang out in Festhaus a lot, probably b/c in the back is where they changed. It was great!

ST the expereience in Vegas is coming out with a new ride: Borg 4D! Sounds like it would be something cool to have for the FX Theater!

That's great that Vegas will have an expanded Star Trek presence. But since I'm stuck in Greater Cincinnati due to the HAPPY augmentation of my family size.........I wish that PKI would offer some Star Trek here.
