March 25, 20224 yr A pretty cool video I stumbled upon tonight that includes a handful of pictures I’ve never seen. Such a rad dark ride. Just wanted to share for those interested!
April 16, 20224 yr Despite the goofy nature of the ride, I do recall being quite scared of this as a small child. The craftsmanship-to-cost ratio of PT is impressive when you compare it to the much higher budgets of Disney and Universal. I do hope the animatronics have still managed to survive to the present day without too much decay. I know they used them for haunt a few years back, but a lot can happen in five years.
April 16, 20224 yr And just in time for anyone to brush up on the ride since Phantom Theater Encore will open at the Kings Island Theater June 4th! Looking forward to this original show about a beloved past ride.
April 19, 20224 yr Out of curiosity, does anyone know if this ride was made especially for KI? I'm not aware of any other parks that had a Phantom Theater. If that's the case, who would own the rights to the characters? Would it be possible for Kings Island to use them in the future? I'm assuming there will be some characters in the new Phantom Theater Encore show.

April 19, 20224 yr And R&R Creative Design still exists. So does the original ride system. Just sayin, KI, just sayin.
April 28, 20224 yr This ride was amazing for a seasonal park when it opened. Not many seasonal parks feature an omni-mover system for their dark rides, if they even have a dark ride. One has to wonder when Boo Blasters will receive an upgrade. The current set up has been around now for 19 seasons, with one theme change. The original ride system was around for 19 seasons with one theme change before it was turned into Phantom Theater...
