August 21, 20214 yr Now that the park is back open, post your ET repaint updates in this thread. Let's see your pics. And Go!
August 23, 20214 yr From Baynum: I didn’t know they had painted the tower on 1989. That’s the year I believe it went blue from the previous green. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
September 4, 20214 yr If anyone has seen it recently, how is the Eiffel Tower looking? If so, can we determine what color it is going to be. I have seen some pictures where the Eiffel Tower is partially bronze color, but I don’t know if that is actually how it is going to be.
September 4, 20214 yr Power washing the tower is continuing, and it looks like site preparations for paint work have begun.
September 5, 20214 yr This is the side of the tower facing south toward Planet Snoopy. This area had been stripped last week and was clearly painted, as the color pops up on the “box” at the top. I’ve heard rumors of different colors but so far it looks as if at least this part will remain the same.

The park is busy developing “Paintings” cards that allow the guests to actually be a part of the experience and history of this unique event. The cards come in 6 gallon and 9 gallon denominations and sell for $49.99 and $74.99 respectively. ($5 discount for passholders). Once the guests have finished with either card they will unlock the ability to purchase a limited edition “I Painted It!” T-shirt for just $34.99 ($5 discount for passholders). Be sure to get your early once they go on sale as they will sell out quickly and prices are likely to go up.

September 7, 20214 yr Cool. Did you get the 6 or 9 gallon card? Looks to me like the 9. Did you pay cash for it or have to use the cash to card kiosk? I keep seeing reports on social media that the park is still accepting cash despite what they say.
September 17, 20214 yr Here is a cool article about it: https://www.wlwt.com/article/kings-island-eiffel-tower-getting-a-makeover/37632466
September 19, 20214 yr Whenever I see one of those news crews at the park really in the morning like that, I always think how I would pay good money to be able sit there with a coffee and watch the fountains at that time of day.

That's really cool, but I would pass as the whole unharnessed while being that up high thing would freak me out... but kudos to the men and women stepping up and doing that job! -MDMC, who gets nervous while watching Youtube videos of people playing at dangerous heights or the one where someone is giving a tour from the top of Kingda Ka....

October 18, 20214 yr So out of curiosity, did they start from the top of the tower? It seemed like that a couple weeks ago.

I think the top of the tower is all they have completely finished so far. Kings Island probably wanted to get the top done in time for Halloween Haunt. The ready of the tower seems like it is being prepped for a final coat of green paint.

November 17, 20214 yr Good look at the Eiffel Tower from yesterday It looks to be finished, but I imagine there are still some finishing touches since the park never posted that this project was complete.
