I think my favorite moment of the ride is going to be the sideways airtime hill. The pacing on the ride looks great. I just wish there was one or two more airtime hills.

Here are my pics from yesterday. Didnt take any professional camera up. Just with my S9+. Plus, was a little bumpy. Watermarked because some people. And these definitely are "exclusive".

Wow, and that's also without test dummies! I'm pretty sure there are no test dummies, looking at the shadows and the train in the station, it looks like they are empty.

I can’t tell, but if looks like the on ride-photo is at the head chopper under the first drop. This thing absolutely hauls!!!

That is where it is!

Right here

Looks rough...

Yes, I know it’s the camera in the mount getting thrown about on a light train; but I didn’t get much out of it that the GCI rendering did not already show save for the on ride camera.

That thing hauls, I’m so excited to be going opening day!

It’s not.

What would you compare it to smoothness wise? Is it even smoother than Diamondback and Banshee?

Its a new coaster so I think it'll naturally be smoother than Banshee and Diamdondback by default.

The B&M rattle will show up soon enough.  It always does.

Poorly translated or received sarcasm.

Ergo, I digress...

I don’t think Banshee or DB has that bad of a rattle, they are not in the same class as Kumba, Rugaroo, Kraken, or Dominator.

Kumba, Kraken, and Rougarou were all built with ball joint supports, which has proved to add to the headbanging.

DB and Banshee both definitely have a little rattle. While not horrible it is there. Banshees is just kinda throughout the whole ride. Diamondback is worst right after the turn around and isn’t awful or anything imo.

I wonder when B&M stopped adding ball joint supports to their rides. Riding Rougarou vs riding Valravn is like night and day when it comes to comfort

Late 90s I believe.

GCI rendering? I thought this was a B&M! :P

Fingers faster than my mind, CGI of course(or I’m just too deep into this coaster enthusiast thing...)

Would that explain why Afterburner is so smooth with the old style over the shoulder restraints?

Raging Bull at Six Flags Great America opened in 1999 and it has ball joints.

Raging bull has clamshell restraints and no inversions so the roughness might not be as noticable

Would that explain why Afterburner is so smooth with the old style over the shoulder restraints?

It's very possible. I'm actually having trouble finding an invert with the ball joint supports. You can see the difference between ball joints and fixed supports on Afterburn and Rougarou.c305676729ad73d634ead6101c5d854a.jpg0532cf361f69dc827e614227abc4c8ad.jpg

Ball joints weren’t used on inverted track, only track that was set upright....
