Hey guys I am helping out with the logo of Orion and decided to use the 2nd logo and try to make it into a free custom Orion logo.

You can thank me for that.

Here are my pics from yesterday. Didnt take any professional camera up. Just with my S9+. Plus, was a little bumpy. Watermarked because some people. And these definitely are "exclusive".

Thanks?

I feel like I have missed so much lol. not much work being done for Orion the week of these holidays?

I just took a little break from constantly checking out the page. I felt my work was suffering haha. I feel good to be back and find a way for it not to get in the way of my work lol

I've been watching the cam pretty intently and I haven't noticed any new changes since the last large support went up on the 20th of this month.  I would guess construction will resume after New Year's Day, but the forecast doesn't look great for Thursday or Friday so it may be next week before things pick back up again.

Yeah I have had the cam up everyday.....been real slow / no work at all the last week or so.

Wow! Those pics really show how steep Orion is! I will be up there today so hopefully I can get some pics of my own.

So Thursday starts the clock ticking again on construction continuing.

Does the track start going up Thursday or will it be Monday? My guess is Monday but I’d like to be surprised otherwise. I think after the last part of the turn around goes in I won’t be able to get track going up till we hit the next air time hill, then the helix and I’m going to guess the last piece goes in over by the brake run.

As for that, the next step after

They already have supports up for the speed hill. So yeah i could see this thing completed by end of Jan weather permitting.

I think all the track will work will be completed in about a month. It should go together pretty quickly now.

The goal is to have track work done by February 1.

Source on that?

Jamie Gaffney. That was the goal when I interviewed him December 9, I don’t know whether that’s changed or not.

Also the Dayton Daily News back on October 8th mentioned the same thing. They also mentioned that the 85° drop was going to be only 7 feet long which was mentioned in the other Orion thread. They interview Jeff Gramke.

That’s pretty normal to have reach your max steepness for only a few feet.

Welcome to the 20's.

Does this mean we should dress dapper for opening day?

Hooray looks like the construction has already started back up today as there is a piece of track in the air!

This means another support and piece should go up today as well so it can support itself.

Support likely, track definitely.

Eh, just another support. Pictures are appreciated nonetheless.

There is currently a new support being put up!

I highly doubt that they’ll get that next piece in today as I’m guessing it’s going to be short like the other one, but they may both go in tomorrow morning.
With that said I am almost to my lookout point to see what’s going on.
