In some ways, I still don't understand why they didn't put the station and lift hill in area of old SOB. Would have put the 300 ft. hill towards front of park more as well.

Negative. That little part of the clearing has always been there, as it's part of the boneyard. 

I feel those guys should have zoomed in a little more though, or actually snapped some pictures.

I think that clearing looks much larger from that aerial photo, than it does from the Eiffel Tower!

This picture from several weeks ago shows the little spot to the left of the clearing. That is where Field of Screams is/was located. Nothing different. 

Hopefully we will be able to go back up in a week.

Yeah,  but I'm talking about the little empty area to the left, its like near the back part of the clearing.  I checked Google Earth,  it looks like where they set the fireworks off at.  This coaster is going to be close to them,  my guess is they'll have to close it like they do for The Beast.

Btw, the pilot should take as much time as he needs, for his family,  its nice to see pictures and videos of this, but family is first. 

Oh look, the park bench backrest has a steeper drop than our rollercoaster does and it cost 200,000x less..

I've been saying for years that it only makes sense to put it back towards the back on Coney Mall for crowd distribution reasons. You already have large amounts of people flocking to the Rivertown area for DB, MT and Beast. You have a lot of people going to Action Zone, mainly for Banshee. While there are coasters and other rides in Coney, none are major draws like those others. Putting PX back there redistributes the crowds and helps out those concession stands and games as well. People are more likely to spend money if lines are shorter. 

I assume we’ll have a new or expanded X-Base entrance while we are at it too.

Roller Coaster 1 looks too intense for me

I'm currently at the park. Blue left side racer isn't running and circular footers are being poured for that building between racer and Flight of Fear. One thing that interests me is that the X Base sign under racer is gone. Has the removal of the sign been talked about yet?

When did that happen? *Someone insert photo here* 

The sign was missing when I went Sunday evening.

it was missing at the beginning of this season, and it has been mentioned (the smaller sign on the game has been there for years, it isn’t new)

The sign is on its side next to the Test Your Strength game. It was that way last week, at least. 

 

They’re referring to this X-Base sign.

It has been gone since opening day. Which is also why opening day when the half loop was spotted, it was mentioned that they could use that to make an arch with.

Well alright!! I couldn't for the life of me remember seeing it, and walked past the entrance to x base 3 or 4 times. 

 

Im very certain that the X-Base sing was removed during the off season because I saw some videos of the path to FoF and the X-Base sign was missing. It was there during Winterfest. So, its been gone  since the off season.

Speaking of X-Base, what do you think about the legitimacy of adding a second path along the Blue Racer side?

I think there will have to be a new entrance to X-Base as it will probably become the most crowded area in the park. I agree; that seems like the best place to put the new path.

The sign was gone April 14, which was Dry Run Day for associates. The sign's footings were still in the ground. The first time I came as a guest was on May 3, and the footings for the sign were totally gone.

That is a maintenance road.  It appears there will be something there for Haunt, but I doubt they'd want to remove that access year round.
