January 7, 20197 yr When you get down by the Little Miami River, you run into a lot of environmental issues. I doubt any coaster will get close to that river. This rumored coaster or any future coaster that Kings Island may install. Maybe... maybe not. You never know how EPA will react. This would give it a ton of length. We need both wood and steel length records... just because...
January 7, 20197 yr Its not just the EPA. The Little Miami River is a State and National Scenic River. I am sure that carries its own set of regulations. I for one do not think that the park needs any kind of records. Records can be over rated. I can have a ton of fun riding the Tornado at Stricker`s Grove, which has no records. A coaster does not need to have one of the superlatives (tallest, fastest, longest, steepest, etc.) to be a fun ride. Case in point: Mystic Timbers. Not a record breaking coaster, but a fun ride.

Here is a good picture of the land behind Firehawk, all the way to the LM River. Quite a bit of space though. Also, @Fye Coasters, I'd guess around the 350ft mark, as did @flightoffear1996. Pretty sure I recognize that wing strut... :-D

January 23, 20197 yr Stopped by the KI area today and was suprised at the progress. Looks like that is the drop section that is standing. This was shot in the parking lot of GWL.
January 23, 20197 yr Thanks for the update! That is amazing! Makes me want to drive on down and view myself as well.
January 23, 20197 yr If the weather cooperates, I may convince @OldieButGoodie to go back up soon. Doubt it though. Weather has been horrible.
January 23, 20197 yr Fingers crossed! I’d love to do that and also drive by clermont steel! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 23, 20197 yr IIRC, there were a couple pieces sitting on the east end of the facility outside. They haven't been painted or primed yet.
January 24, 20197 yr Just a reminder- if anyone goes to the plant for pictures, do so without trespassing on their or nearby properties without permission from the respective occupants.
January 24, 20197 yr And adding to what @silver2005 said, be very careful if taking pictures while driving by. Pictures of track are not worth your life or other lives around you.
January 24, 20197 yr For sure! I would stay on main roads and and only take pics if I can stop! I will say that I have done my fair share of trespassing during my years. I go to old abandoned placed and shoot video. its the people that destroy things and vandalize that ruin it for other who just want to look and explore.

January 24, 20197 yr Ugh sorry about the double post. I got excited haha You think there is a dumpster near by to see where the parts are going. Maybe they can let us have a piece after it gets to the recycling plant haha??
January 24, 20197 yr The NL2 recreation has been updated. Here's what the site looks like according to the O'rourke Wrecking Company video.

Or do what I did, and just go into the left back parking lot of Great Wolf Lodge. Got great shots of Firehawk and the new dorm building. Highly recommend, for the view and the fact it is legal and safe to take photos there. Also think there is a lot more of the drop gone based off my photo. The only pieces of it left are the ones connected to the support beams. Edit: I'll share those the construction for the dorm rooms soon.

January 24, 20197 yr At this rate, it could be completely gone by the end of next month. And since it’s coming down FAST, could preparations for something new be far behind? The suspense is killing me!
