So I thought it'd be fun to do a bucket list for Kings Island, specifically in 2018. On things I want to do whether I've done them or not in the past.

Post yours as well if you'd like. Update as you complete things and/or add more if you find something else you want to do. Here's mine in no particular order:

  • Night Ride on Firehawk
  • Ride The Bat at night (I've ridden at dusk, but I've not done a true night ride)
  • Ride Congo Falls
  • Ride Race For Your Life Charlie Brown
  • Ride White Water Canyon
  • Play more arcade games
  • Play at least one midway game
  • Ride Slingshot
  • Ride Xtreme Skyflyer
  • See Off The Charts (Didn't see it in the past)
  • See Jump! The Ultimate Dog Show (mainly to see a show in the International Showplace Theatre, haven't done that in a long long time)
  • Get FunPix picture taken at the front of the park with a stranger and/or an entire family.
  • Watch the fireworks from the Eiffel Tower
  • Watch the fireworks from International Street
  • Have a fireworks ride on WindSeeker (Had one at the first Coasterstock and it was a blast!)
  • Ride Boo Blasters and don't attempt to get any points
  • Visit Soak City more
  • Ride Woodstock Whirlybirds (because why not?)
  • Spend a bit of time in the evening before park close on International Street
  • Eat at Subway with my dining plan (because Subway is expensive outside of the park)
  • Sample all of the fudge flavors at Sweet Spot
  • Try all of the cotton candy flavors at Sweet Spot
  • Spend a day at the park with my phone in the locker or car
  • Feed the fish in the Oktoberfest Pond
  • Meet at least 15 people from KIC that I don't already know
  • Split a big funnel cake with toppings with friends
  • Get a picture with each of the Peanuts costumed characters (those of you on here who are character escorts, make this happen please :))

I'm sure there is more, but I'll add to it as I think of it.

So again, what's your 2018 Bucket List?

We haven't met, let me know when you're around!

Got it this past weekend

Only once in two seasons have I found it open.   But I rarely go on weekends.

  • Ride 50 rides total in one day
  • Beast at night with my 2 boys...they have yet to experience this
  • catch all the shows by the end of the season (I'm not a big "show" guy but should see them at least once)

  • In Boo Blasters, Shoot both curtains in the living room section
  • Get an airbrush T-shirt
  • Try The Coney Bar B Que (Sadly still haven't)
  • Go to Soak City more often
  • Ride the Slingshot
  • Use the cannons at White Water Canyon (I forget if they took those out, they might have...)
  • Use one of those vibrating foot massages you see in Oktoberfest

That's all I can think of off the top of my head

  • 4 weeks later...

Wow, I've neglected my list.  I can cross a few things off... and add one more.

-Ride Woodstock Express

-Buy a unique souvenir(s)
-See the Ultimate Dog Show at least once
-Marathon water ride day (ride each one at least once in the same day)
-Old West Photo with KIC friends
-Watch fireworks on International Street sitting beside the fountains while indulging in a delicious treat    I had a turtle caramel apple the night I was at the park with @jtro223

-Ride The Beast in the back row    What was I thinking? Yeah, that's not happening again.
-Work on a TBA creative project

-Interpret the National Anthem (in ASL) as it plays at park opening  Did this at Coasterstock near the KI Theatre.  Ask @Mrs. No Chickens.  She saw!

-Perform one of the Greatest Showman songs at the end of the night on International Street with another KICer *cough* @chugh43

-Ride Vortex with @VortexBFForever

I crossed off Diamondback night ride earlier this year, and Banshee night ride last Haunt.

I guess should be the year I finally ride Invertigo.

I don't know that I have a list per se, but I would like to see this new and improved Fireworks show from the Eiffel Tower 'cause I think that would be cool. I'm also curious to see if the Fireworks show changes for the 4th (as I'll be off from work and I'll likely be at the park that day)

Also, although I don't have a list, I've really wanted to meet Chef Major and I finally did so two Saturdays ago; he's a really nice guy! :D

^
I would recommend that. You can't hear the music or anything, but I viewed the fireworks from the Eiffel Tower on preview night and they were great IMO.

Not get banned from this site.

You just implicitly admitted that you are trolling, because that post makes no sense otherwise.

I'd like to ride Delirium. I've never ridden it before

My always goal is Flight of Fear. I had a little bit of a traumatizing experience once in a queue line and I have still never had the guts to ride it.

I've never ridden The Beast at night.

I liked beast a lot during the day but last year during Haunt was my first night ride, now I'm completely addicted.

My one thing is to try to meet more KIC people, I'm very shy and don't normally go up to people. We've made a couple friends that we see but I would like to meet more of you, especially since we are going to the park so often this year.

My goal for 2018 is not to get banned from this site.

(Is anyone going to the park on June 7th,maybe we can have a meet up)

my bucket list

1) get on Banshee

2)ride Diamondback

3)ride Firehawk and Flight of Fear

^I’m working a Close at Vortex on the 7th, so feel free to come visit (and no, you don’t have to ride if you wish not to :)). I might visit as a guest beforehand if I have the time.

Also, I am adding something to my KI bucket list:

-Climb Vortex’s lift hill (it’s my second season working at KI and I still have never set foot on the lift! Hopefully that changes!)

For some reason jcgoble was confused.

No, you were crystal clear in your implicit admission that you are a troll. Such a goal makes no sense whatsoever unless you believe there is some reason why you may get banned. And that reason is obvious to everyone else on the forums. By stating that goal, you have admitted that such a reason exists, and therefore you have admitted that you are a troll.

What about allowing me to be a productive member instead of name calling.  I have been warned 2x so yes my goal is not to get banned.

You've had three and a half months to establish yourself as a productive member, and in that time you've done nothing but troll, including this post about 15 minutes ago which was completely unnecessary to bring up and does nothing but (and seems purely intended to) kill the mood for no good reason. And then you took a potshot at enthusiast events in general, which was also unnecessary.

So at this time, I do not believe you are capable of being a productive member. I welcome you to prove me wrong, but at this point it will take many, many months to do so. The title of "troll" takes minutes to earn and months to lose.

Hi, how did you ride woodstock without a child next to you?  I was thinking adults had to have a kid.

Not Woodstock Express.  You have to have a child to ride the Great Pumpkin Coaster. :) Unless you're a Coasterstock ERT.

My bucket list for KI this year:

1... Get there... Last year I had to cancel my trip due to a family emergency...

2... Ride Slingshot...

Updated list with stuff crossed out.

- Get a night ride and a post-rain ride on Mystic Timbers (latest I've done on MT was during sunset with it still being light out)

- Night ride on Backlot

- Take more pictures at the park

- Visit the park for Winterfest at least once

- Eat at Coney BBQ at least once

- Pray that Juke Box is not busy one day and eat there at least once

- Have at least one funnel cake and one order of fries from Rivertown Potato Works

- Check out shows other than OTC and whatever is in KI Theater and Festhaus

- Ride the Coney flats and Grand Carousel more often (no marathon please)

- Fireworks rides on Vortex, Diamondback, Banshee and WindSeeker

- At least one night ride on Beast in 1-1

- Sunset ride on WindSeeker

- Not suck at Boo Blasters when with other KICers

- Get a zen ride on something

- Night ride on Bat

- Update KI wardrobe with at least 1 new shirt
