The instrumental music is back this season.  Rivertown actually had appropriate music for that area playing as well (folk/country music).

Not anymore

Here now. People stuck in the Firehawk seats on exit I believe. They closed the ride. Does this happen often?

We were going to ride again today and saw the yellow train stopped at the top of the lift hill.  Checked a few minutes later and it was gone.  Not a good day to be stuck there

I can hear them now

Passenger A "Is the Coney BBQ I smell"

Passenger B "Nope, that me"

LOL

Does anyone know what this was all about?

Surprisingly for a Sunday, we found these costumed performers under the Eiffel Tower. They were dressed, as far as I can tell, as bronze statues of the Wicked Witch and a Flying Monkey from Wizard of Oz. They were standing like statues with their backs to the majority of the crowds. When people tried to speak with them they did not respond aside from moving their eyes.

There were no professional photos or video being taken (which I originally thought would make a little sense). They didn't have any non-costumed employees as handlers so far as I could see, as I would have expected. And it was sooooo hot, I was boiling in shorts and a t-shirt, so I can only imagine how bad it was in full body costume and either full face paint (the witch) or full face/head mask (the flying monkey).

I just really don't understand why they would send out costumed characters to a semi-obscure location where they aren't even interacting with guests, on a Sunday, without support staff, on a ridiculously hot day. Did these two performers anger someone and this is their punishment?

Another oddity is that I don't recall seeing any similar characters (either "statues" or Wizard of Oz) during actual Haunt nights, at least not since the statues of Cemetery Drive a few years ago when International Street was a scare zone.

We saw that wall on Friday and were trying to figure out what was up with it.

Could be the Food Service Managers.

The little greenhouse itself had been set up outside the customer service call room, near Graeters, in past weeks, but was moved under the tower this weekend. When I was there Friday (and when I saw it in the former location previously) I didn't notice it being used beyond being an interesting bit of theming.

Maybe it’s a future episode of Impractical Jokers in which two losers have to stand outside Kings Island in those hot costumes! :P

Maybe there were looking for a small little critter like I was.  (I finally found one Sunday)

I saw the “greenhouse” on Friday & Saturday and couldn’t figure out what it was for...then on Sunday I noticed what I thought was a statue. As I was walking up I thought to myself how lifelike it was...it threw me when the eyes were following me and I realized it was a real person. He was standing dead still and no one else was even paying attention to him. I took a couple of pictures and complimented him and then left.

i still don’t understand why they would bury him behind that structure where more people couldn’t appreciate him.

Hmmmm...didn't Coney Island have a "Land of Oz" theme back in the day?  Nod to the past, hint for the future, or just a random happenstance?

Just a thought....with Carnevil closed....could we be getting a Wizard of Oz themed dark ride in there????  Again, just a thought.

Although cool, I could not imagine the cost of that licensing.

The logical thing is that they are going to use that space for another indoor theater for one of the live shows for Winterfest, since it is heated in there.  They did have stuff in there for the Peanuts Celebration this summer.

Well, this is interesting.

At this point is there a food service establishment in existence that doesn’t have a pumpkin spice product available in the fall?

Been hearing rumors about a pumpkin spice Baconator,

No, when I typed in the KI url, it randomly brought up a KD blog.

Hmm.  Works fine for me.   Maybe they are trying to tell you something.

It's a vast Cedar Fair pumpkin spice conspiracy.

Quick question: Is Boo Blasters open all night during Haunt? I’m asking this because Boo Blasters is in Planet Snoopy and I wasn’t sure if it closed when Planet Snoopy closes.

Its listed as an attraction on the haunt site. Remember, its actually part of International Street

Oh ok thank you, I was just wondering.

I was at the park on Saturday and I noticed that the characters were there during the day but then they disappeared once Haunt started. I was talking to someone I know who works at the Eiffel Tower and even they said that the whole scene just kind of appeared one day and no one really knows what it is

I see the  mother in law's tongue plant there.  I'm guessing it was the same one that was in Tower Gardens this summer beside the chair with the barrel.  With everything else that has been said, I can now say that the 2020 B&M GiGa will be called Mother of Beast and will feature a barrel roll.  #breakingnews  #motherofbeast:P
