May 9, 201610 yr So I have never posted pictures, so trial four. These are the location of markers that I saw from my train ride Sunday. The white markers seemed much more random but the red/orange were what looked like a marked line for a buffer line between the train station and the woods/ maybe not so much woods soon. The reservoir had water and red marker line down to it from the top/left of this pic this.
May 9, 201610 yr Interesting how at first observation it looks like a Transfer Brake with Brake run and Lift hill area.
May 9, 201610 yr Ok, Magenta Lizard took my baseball line. I'm going to completely flop on my original stance and join team giga with that last tweet. Seems like they are teasing a very large attraction. I just have to wonder how the new giga will interact with the relocated DA....?
May 9, 201610 yr Author Interesting how at first observation it looks like a Transfer Brake with Brake run and Lift hill area. Very perceptive! I didn't notice that at first.
May 9, 201610 yr I am almost certain this wont happen but I really think it would be awesome if this new ride is a giga coaster and interacts with DB on some level. Even if they just have flybys that would be really cool.
May 9, 201610 yr Sounds like a Giga if you ask me. Carowinds had a record attendance year with over 2 million visits last year because of Fury 325. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
May 9, 201610 yr Since we're back at the decoding thing again, can anyone point to any of the "clues" that the park put out for Diamondback or Banshee that, if somehow correctly interpreted, gave an actual hint to what was going to be constructed?
May 9, 201610 yr ^ The screams and the silver combs come to mind (the combs, though, were sent out for the announcement, so that is way later) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
May 9, 201610 yr Has anyone tried requesting the blue prints since it's public record like with Banshee or is it too early for that?
May 9, 201610 yr "People will come. People will most definitely come" This is a quote from the movie "Field of Dreams" Remember this gem from 2013? https://www.instagram.com/p/abYpEJuOHj/?taken-by=kingsislandpr
May 9, 201610 yr I'm sure CF is dying to buy a ride with their credits from a ride that nearly killed multiple people. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
May 9, 201610 yr @bm0324 I agree 100%, they want nothing to do with Intamin at this point, alleged credits or not lol
May 9, 201610 yr Because of some boat ride credit. Although they may have gotten credit, I don't believe that anyone actually confirmed this (I could be wrong). Anyway, the credit wouldn't be nearly enough for a large coaster, especially a giga or "cowboy coaster." That being said, Cedar Fair chooses quality, safety, and reliability. Intamin (Cowboy coaster maker) is known for struggles with the last two. B&M, however, is known for the last two. There are other companies much like Intamin, such as Mack, that could also make a "Cowboyish" coaster. I'd believe Cedar Fair would much rather choose them. (Look up the POV of Helix online to see their work).
May 9, 201610 yr Not to mention all the downtime that the majority of their Intamin coasters suffer from. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
May 9, 201610 yr Author ...as well as that one of their executives went on record discussing "acceptable levels of risk" or something like that. ("Acceptable level of risk", in my book, is ZERO.) EDIT: Also, wasn't the last Intamin coaster installation in the U.S. back in something like 2012? That should be quite telling in and of itself.
May 9, 201610 yr How many INTAMIN coasters have been installed in the United States since 2010? How many B&M coasters have been installed during the same time in the United States? INTAMIN: http://rcdb.com/r.htm?order=-8&ot=2&co=6837&page=1 B&M: http://rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=2&co=6831&page=1&order=-8
May 9, 201610 yr Firmly on #teamcowboycoaster, I'm pumped!Yippie KI yay!https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.joyrides.com%2Fbpb%2Fphotos%2Fsteeplechase2.jpg&f=1
May 9, 201610 yr And even if they essentially got a coaster from Intamin for free with these credits, I don't think they'd go for it. Safety is too important to Cedar Fair, this isn't Mt. Olympus. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk

May 9, 201610 yr Exactly! What good is a "free" or discounted coaster if it suffers from major issues with downtime, or even worse has to be reprofiled like I305 or the Cowboy Coaster, thanks but no thanks Intamin lol
May 9, 201610 yr Nobody even figured it out yet? Lol #BigRedMachine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
May 9, 201610 yr Maverick is no longer Maverick. From this point on, it shall simply just be called "The Cowboy Coaster" Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
May 9, 201610 yr Man that tweet turns it up a notch. Very interested about that photo posted previously about the locations of markers. It would be great if that could continue to be updated!
