HoliWood Nights & CoasterMania 2016

Featured Replies

For anyone that went to HWN, how is Legend riding after all the track work/changes?

Legend is running like brand new. The first drop used to shake me up pretty good. It was butter smooth this year. The double helix was super forceful as usual, and the return to the station was just as fast as before. They retracked that entire section so it was smooth as well. The new double down was okay. The first drop had no airtime whatsoever. The second had a decent pop but nothing to write home about. I was expecting more but it still works. They did a great job working on Legend because now it is re-rideable as all get out. I'm assuming (Since I never ride Legend until 2010) it is as close to what it was like when the ride first opened as you can get.

  • Having paid in advance for an event with capped attendance, I would be rather upset if they let a bunch of unregistered people overcrowd lunch & ERT.

^^ It never hurts to think ahead, but there are plenty of coaster events still to happen this year!

I'd expect CoasterMania tickets to sell out even faster next year, as some who missed out this year will have learned not to wait.

I'll probably order mine when they first go on sale. Didn't I see you posted they went on sale in January?

Gives me plenty of time to get in shape.

What other coaster events are you speaking of this summer?

To start with, check out the events pages for your favorite coaster club(s).

Also, there will be the rescheduled Thrills in the Hills at Dollywood, National Roller Coaster Day at KI, a to-be-announced Coaster Crew event at Carowinds, and likely more.

Looks like I'm gonna have to join some more clubs.

Really enjoyed my first coaster event. Had a blast.

Even though I give ya a hard time. And might still in the future.

:)

Magnum. Ejector seat. Re-rides. No trims.

Yes, that was an amazing experience.

Probably my favorite ride of the weekend.

Also.....Valravn walkon at midnight, outside front row, wasn't to bad either  :)

That is great to hear.
