April 3, 201610 yr On the dining plan page, the name of Hank's Burrito Shack has reverted to Outerhanks (sic). I assume that this is an error. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/things-to-do/dining-plans Maybe, they're playing an April Fools joke on everyone. I know I wasn't on here all week, I was on vacation, but anyway they could just be messing with us. By the way, I've seen the term ROI on here several times. What does that mean? Also, thank you guys for being a team and answering my question about Platinum/Gold preview night.
April 3, 201610 yr And yet Hank's Burrito Shack is still the name on the "dining locations" page. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/things-to-do/dining-locations And ROI is Return on investment. One of the very few acronyms used on this site that is actually Google-able.. it's a little frustrating not remembering or knowing all the acronyms here.. https://www.google.com/search?q=roi&oq=roi&aqs=chrome..69i57j5j0l2.966j0j4&client=ms-android-sprint-us&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
April 3, 201610 yr That's why acronymfinder.com exists And this is why it is virtually useless when referring to our theme park related acronyms haha
April 3, 201610 yr EXCLUSIVE LOOK: What’s new at Kings Island for 2016 . . news article in the Journal-News http://www.journal-news.com/news/news/exclusive-look-whats-new-at-kings-island-for-2016/nqxCz/
April 3, 201610 yr Oh wow! Is that a brand new entryway to The Bat Rollercoaster? Based on the webcam view, it looks like more tombstones and an arching bridge entryway. It almost looks like the old stairway might have been removed.
April 3, 201610 yr Sorry guys, but I've been looking up and down the webcam and can't seem to locate what new entryway that you're speaking of.....? Maybe you're seeing the tunnel path that takes you under the maintenence road that's always been part of the walk back to The Bat....?
April 3, 201610 yr I dont see it either, I just think a new anything to get people excited for The Bat is cool
April 3, 201610 yr I see it, it definitely looks as if the simple pre-cast concrete wall with a square-cut passageway from the past has been upgraded with a brick/stone facade with an archway. It looks good!
April 3, 201610 yr I'm just wondering what other improvements in theming lie beyond the bridge. It kind of looks like the wooden fence has been replaced with the same "graveyard" fence that's around Banshee. Could there be more tombstones and such on the other side? Now I'm Kind of interested in finding out.
April 3, 201610 yr Well at least down there, the weather man seems to like Southern Ohio. Crews can keep working unlike up here where the weatherman likes to pick on. I'll be sure to watch the weather down there.
April 3, 201610 yr I don't see anything different. I compared to a screen shot from Feb 22nd. I think your seeing some sort of shadow.
April 3, 201610 yr Diamondback is currently testing. Will be checked Banshee webcam to see what else is testing today EDIT: Banshee is currently testing as well... 13 more days!
April 3, 201610 yr Folks, not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but we don't need to bump the thread every time a ride is testing. We know the rides are cycling. All the coasters have been cycling that can be seen from the webcams, or have been confirmed by the park. It is expected for them to be running now, as the park opens in 2 weeks.
April 3, 201610 yr I was going to say the same thing. I understand it's exciting, but I hope you do realize most if not all rides in the park have been testing already...considering it's less than two weeks awayf from opening.
April 3, 201610 yr I don't think they would build a coaster over the entrance given the area it would have to turn around. It'd be messing with either employee parking, handicapped parking, or the backstage area. I think a pleasing aesthetic would be something they would consider when building a coaster. I don't want Kings Island pulling a Six Flags and building parking lot coasters, thank you very much. As for what coaster I would like next, I say either a Mack Wild Mouse or a GCI.
April 3, 201610 yr ^But at least with Dominator they didn't leave it as a parking lot like SFMM did with Scream.
April 3, 201610 yr Goliath: Six Flags Over Georgia. Great American Scream Machine: NJFTP [RIP] Green Lantern fka Chang: NJFTP...
April 3, 201610 yr ^But at least with Dominator they didn't leave it as a parking lot like SFMM did with Scream. Walking down a midway that overlooks the main parking lot is the most jarring aspect of that ride, especially in contrast to the other areas of the park.
April 3, 201610 yr Goliath: Six Flags Over Georgia. Great American Scream Machine: NJFTP [RIP] Green Lantern fka Chang: NJFTP... If those were in even better locations, it would make them even better!
April 3, 201610 yr I don't think so. Goliath is ideally placed. And GASM was built where New Jersey allowed it to be.
