February 1, 201610 yr ERT is nice as usual and expected, but I agree with nothing new being slightly disappointing. I guess not everyone has ever been back through The Beast & whatnot, and that's a signature move for Kings Island to show off the largest wooden coaster ever and get some behind the scenes. However, it's old, it's been done ALOT. I got to take a few tours last year, it was pretty good, but I would't pay to do it again or make it a staple to go do. There's so much more at Kings Island I'd love to see, but surprised I've never seen them show it off. The day a tour down at the bottom end of Banshee becomes available, I'll jump all over it. But same food, speakers, and general idea, I'll pass this year as well. Same food? The menu hasn't been posted yet. Heard there won't be ribs this year.
February 1, 201610 yr Considering the content is the same I would expect the same. Food at KI at events wasn't stellar last year. I actually enjoyed eating at Reds or the typical amusement park food more than catered meals. That shouldn't have been the case.
February 1, 201610 yr Going by past Coasting for Kids, it has always been the first weekend of June on Sunday. I wouldn't expect it to be different this year. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
February 1, 201610 yr It wasn't just the ribs really, I didn't even enjoy my cheeseburger...how can you mess up a cheeseburger? Honestly, just have Chick-Fil-A cater a bunch of chicken nuggets and I'll be set. Okay, let's stop talking about the food now...
February 2, 201610 yr With some of the mysterious tweets by Mr. Scheide I think we may get some hints about what is coming. Plus who can say No to that much ERT, free t- shirt, meeting other enthusiasts, and getting to know a great park. Missed out last year and can't wait for this year to actually take part in my first Coasterstock.
February 2, 201610 yr I would honestly pay the fee just to hear Mr. Speigel speak for a few hours. Everything else is icing on the cake.
February 3, 201610 yr I loved how, at the Winter Chill Out, Don was like, "Well... Coasterstock will not be two days this year......... it'll be 3".
February 3, 201610 yr You all can say what you want about the ribs but IMO sitting back and watching everyone getting into fights with a bone trying to remove a sliver of meat and the ensuing aftermath of BBQ on their faces was worth the price of admission.
February 5, 201610 yr I'm so exited for Coaster stock this year! Last year I went but I went alone. It was super awkward but i loved it. Not too many people in high school are super into roller coasters haha. Hopefully I can make some friends and hopefully not be a loner this year.
February 5, 201610 yr ^ Plenty of good peeps here on KIC that meetup and hang at the park throughout the year. Stick around, make yourself known and before you know it, you'll have plenty of park friends.
February 5, 201610 yr Author You could even consider joining the meetup later this month, to get to know a few of us before the season starts. A lot of members also come to opening day (and season pass preview night) and there will probably be some sort of informal get-togethers at the park that day.
February 10, 201610 yr Does anyone know before I call the park tomorrow,if parking is included with CoasterStock tickets? Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.
February 10, 201610 yr I'd guess that it's not, but as Oldies said, calling the park would give you a final answer 513-754-5700. Call during normal business hours or whenever the park is open.
February 10, 201610 yr For what it's worth, in 2015, parking fees were not collected on the first day when CoasterStock traffic was routed into the lot via One Team Way to avoid the Color Me Rad race. Parking tolls were being collected on the second day when the main lot opened for CoasterStock attendees. But, yes, call the park for an answer.
February 10, 201610 yr I contacted the park. Parking is not included. So with that I am not going. $76 plus another $45 for parking is more than what I'm wanting to spend Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.

Parking for the three-day event is included for non-Gold and Platinum passholders. Those with a Gold or Platinum pass will need to use their SP for parking.
February 11, 201610 yr It's so incredibly comforting to know how knowledgeable Call Center employees are...
February 11, 201610 yr It's so incredibly comforting to know how knowledgeable Call Center employees are... Perhaps there was just a miscommunication. Technically, parking is not included with Coasterstock tickets as I've read it here. You have to have some sort of season pass to get free parking.
February 11, 201610 yr Read Don's post two above yours... Parking IS included for nonpassholders... My bad. Misread it. I thought he was saying even a "regular" season pass would get you free parking. Good ole Internet...my apologies!
February 11, 201610 yr He's saying that, too....but only for Coasterstock ticketholders without already having season pass parking.

I thought he was saying even a "regular" season pass would get you free parking. Good ole Internet...my apologies! But why would Gold and Platinum passholders 'need to use their SP' if it's already included? Anyhoo...
February 11, 201610 yr To keep records of parking utilization...just as passholders typically use their pass to get entry at most park events.
February 11, 201610 yr Not really...gold and platinum season passholders already paid for theirs... LOL...I was trying so hard to make it clear and easy---finally---for everyone. :-)
February 11, 201610 yr I'll politely suggest that Don could have made it clearer, but that is not to suggest I do not appreciate his posts. This is the Internet, where folks can and will misInterpret lots of things in the absence of sound and body language.

This is the Internet, where folks can and will misInterpret lots of things in the absence of sound and body language. He couldn't have been more clear in his post, but I have to admit that I misread it too. I guess I just expected parking to not be included. But to reiterate: parking IS included with your ticket if you don't have a pass, if you have a Gold or Platinum pass you use that to park.
