How long has the trains been at the park?

Be aware that the park is only running a single half train (three cars) every 15 to 20 minutes. Walking might be a better choice.

To bad I can't make it to the announcement! But I'll be sitting at the computer with live tweeting at least! Or maybe it's not about Soak City, and KI is trying to get arise out of everyone. I just don't see what's so major about getting something new in Soak City. But, that's my opinion. Given I can only go to Kings Island once a year, because I'm only 14, and not the boss.

Is Don, or Greg on the train? Has anyone seen them? just curious

I'm thinking it'll be a slide complex similar to what KD and Worlds of Fun have recently added.  Still putting my money on a new front entrance as well. 

^ it's been give because guests were climbing on it. And making holes in it and breaking it.

I'm amazed how, when we walk by that, and there are kids playing around or on top of that thing.  I'm more amazed, that when my son asks if he can get on the dino too, and I tell him no, its for decoration, on a mulched area and you are not suppose to be playing on it (in a loud enough voice that the kids who are playing on it can either here more, or if not, definitely their parents) yet no body backs away from the dino.  I'm most amazed when at the same time I see a security officer walking by and he has said even less than I on the subject.

 

I get why kids want to play on it, and would if given the opportunity, I can't understand why parents would allow their child to climb on the dinos.

So is anybody streaming this event or no?

The stage is near the Soak City gate across from the smoking area. Magenta Lizard and I are sitting in the shade in the smoking area (there aren't any smokers here presently) and waiting. thoe124 is somewhere in the waterpark.

Waiting for the next train. I got preferred parking ...dang it! So I'll save the legs and take a nice, breezy train ride here in 10 minutes or so.

I spotted Don at the stage above earlier (I think he's in that pic). Haven't seen Greg.

If the train is indeed leaving for a Soak City expansion, I think the green area below is the most likely expansion slot. The red is there too if they are being really ambitious. Either way, with the train gone, I thing the blue box ends up being a new decorative entrance from the park.

The disco ball makes me think it could be something like Disco H20 at wet n' wild in Orlando. Just a random thought.

Ugh Water Rides. I was excited for at least a flat. Even so, I am waiting in anticipation.

I imagine BB1 is a pretty happy guy right about now. 

as a seasoned Season Pass holder I'm a bit of a line snob.  But i'd wait in an hour line every night (for a while) to ride something on this caliber....  water ride, dark ride, etc...

 

Not likely to happen... ever.

 

A dark water slide would be awesome, but so would a water coaster, a duel tower with a half pipe and a water coaster like we have at Zoombezi Bay would also work well.

Water coaster with a theme.  Cmon,cmon.
