Four-week wait for everything at Kings Island.

1 week wait at KD!!

Water coaster at great wolf currently down due to mechanical difficulty.

Looks like it's time for this year's reminder that amusement rides go down for various reasons all the time, and usually are back up and operating within a short time. As such, routine ride closures need not and should not be reported.

Generally speaking, although we post individual ride wait times in this thread, those individual times aren't usually what most people care about. They are only a means to an end, that end being a gauge of how crowded the park is in general, and thus helping someone determine whether a quick afternoon/evening visit to the park is worth the trip. This is why posting routine ride closures is pointless: because they are useless for determining crowd levels.

Little over a day until pass holder preview! Anyone else think this off season seemed quicker than usual? (I know we had winter fest this year but still, the off-season seemed to fly by!)

Yes. A couple months ago, it felt like it was taking forever, but now that it is almost opening day, it definitely feels shorter than previous years. As it should. 

We'll either have just exited our first ride or queuing up less than 24 hours from now.

My first Vortex ride of the season (a.k.a. my morning test ride at work on Saturday) is less than 48 hours away!!

Looks like we have about a 4 hour and 50 minute wait now. About as long as Mystic Timbers during Preview Night last year. 

Just curious, what are the wait times like for tonight's passholder event?

Not nearly as crowded as last year. MT is broken down and will be down for a while according to the KI employee turning people away from the queue. 

Watch it be back up in 5 minutes.

Mystic Timbers is back up. Diamondback is 30 to 45 minutes. Rivertown is as far as we have made it so far. Lol

Invertigo was  about 15 mins. Delirium and bat closed, Banshee probably 45.

Drop Tower has been closed. Delirium is testing now to open.

Yeah it had a rollback. It was really interesting, from an engineering standpoint to watch.

^I’m pretty upset about it because I was next in line. I’m kind of surprised how it was a complete E-stop into a closure. I understand BLSC and TTD are two different beasts entirely but I assumed it would just reset and relaunch like TTD.

I believe they launch using different launch mechanisms. And backlot launches from the station. TTD doesn’t so it can easily re launch without pushing it back into the station for it to be able to launch. 

The Beast was decent tonight.  Lines were pretty long for food stands.  We ended up eating at Juke Box Diner.  Line wasn`t too bad, and food was ok.  

We rode The Bat shortly after it opened.  When we got in line, the line started at the bottom of the stairs.  Line took about thirty minutes, due to dispatch times being about five minutes.  

It's a very long wait to get out of the parking lot. The new entrance has not improved the flow on to Kings Island drive in my opinion. Just sitting here waiting for the lot to clear. I don't want to burn a half a tank of gas getting out of the lot. Still great being back at the park.

We hit I Street about 9:45 so we had no problems at all getting out.  

Firehawk is down; FOF's gonna be a station wait.

Beast is station wait.

Diamondback is station wait.

It's going to be like that no matter what, when theres a crowd of that size. You should of saw Cedar Point October. Took an nearly an hour to get to the toll both.

How busy is the park overall? I’m thinking about making a trip up later if it’s empty.
