It's gonna be a bit chilly, I take it?

55 and rapidly dropping to 43. Brrrr, but at least no rain this time around for me.

I spent nearly 2 hours in the queue for White Water Canyon. -The exit queue, that is! I had a bunch of extra laundry quarters in my Kings Island fanny pack, and it was weighing down a bit, so I decide

Diamond back is 10-15 minutes. So far the longest line was the pregate frisk

You weren't lying about the line getting in! Whew! Longest wait for anything is about 30 minutes according to the app, but most is 10-15.

Yeah that took about 25 minutes to get in the front gate, the crowd seem to pick up as the night went on.  Longest I saw was 45 minutes from Banshee.

Yeah it was pretty cold out, that cold air went right through my jeans. ;)

Went there today expecting it to be at least somewhat not as busy as other weekends as it is much colder out now. Alas the parking lot was 98% or so full.

I bet many passholders go home fairly quickly.

I considered going to SFA today. For about six seconds. (Both the visit AND the considering part).

If you haven't confirmed that parking was added to your pass at purchase, you might want to at least present yourself at the SFA gate before this season is over.

Its a little past 9 and the webcam still shows Diamondback running (even though Weather.com shows it to be 41F in Mason).  I wonder if it will stay running all night or get shut down for the cold?

The minimum temperature for it to start operating is higher than the minimum temperature for it to continue operation.

On November 1 of last year (when the temperature at 1am was 27°F), Diamondback kept running until the temperature got down to the mid 30s. Beast and Racer continued operating until close.

The steel coasters will shut down when and if the air temp hits 32 degrees.

Ok.  We were there last year on the last weekend and I recall the steel coasters not starting up until 4PM.  I was told it had to be at least 40F.

The Arrow Coasters it has to be at least 50 to start up.

I heard it has to be 45 for Vortex to start. That's what an associate told me when I was waiting for it to open on a chilly October 30, 2011.

Well it didn't open today till it was 50.

Hmmm.  Now I am starting to rethink going tomorrow.  Nothing like ERT on Diamondback to get you going, but I dont want to get there and wait.

Enough people think like that, it might be a great day for riding.

Or not:

* It may not get warm enough.

* So few could come, the park could close. (I've seen this on an opening day. Up close and personal).

It's a beautiful day at the park. A tinny bit chilly with the breeze but the sun is quite bright. Short lines for rides. We had a 15 minute wait for The Beast and now headed to the other "big" rides.

Place is pretty much packed tonight, crowd just kept getting larger.  The Racer has a line.

We haven't hit the rest of the park yet but Planet Snoopy is busy. Boo Blasters has a full queue.

Edited to add that FUNTV is showing no wait to 10 minute waits for the roller coasters.

Banshee is about 45 minutes, namely due to no operator at the top of the steps and what appeara to be a genwral lack of speed by the operators that are there.

Apparently today everyone is using their free Fast Lane for renewing.

The line for Fast Lane at BLSC is all the way back to the queue entrance. The regular line is only about twice that.

Yeah I'm have to wait 4 cycles for front seat Racer.

I'm praying for really cold temps on closing day.

Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system.

The Beast was about a 35 minute wait. The Fast Lane line was down the stairs and around the corner. They were letting people through pretty evenly.
