At this point, I'd rather see several more family-friendly flat rides at the park than any new coaster. Coasters are nice, but there's more to a park than coasters.

Or, leave Vortex standing and build a Mack or Gerstlauer looper in any of the numerous acres of land owned by the park that have not yet been used. Why does everyone want to tear down a popular, reli

I think Kings Island has one of the most solid coaster lineups in the world. I would even argue that we have a better lineup than Cedar Point (I really, truly do not understand the hype around that pa

Georgia Scorcher is by far the most comfortable.

Apocolypse at Six Flags America is almost in Roller Coaster at New York New York Casino and Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia territory. Almost, but not quite. Riding it makes one wish for the Apocolypse--at least the ride would be over. Plus, when you get off, the rest of Six Flags America is...yours to...enjoy.

If King Cobra is by far ahead, how can Skyrider be very close? And what is so different between Skyrider and Shockwave; they have the same layout?

POV's are the best source, as with own personal memories.

The only difference I can see is that Skyrider has a longer trick track.

And there you have why not to rely on it.

Any kid can change it.

And does.

Once in college to prove a point in class I deleted a Wikipedia post. My classmate got an email telling him the post was deleted ...

I have seen this stated before and I will state it again: Wikipedia encourages its users to use secondary sources. Therefore, I do not recommend using it as a reliable source. Same goes with Screamscape.

ThatGuy, who learned this the hard way.

Wikipedia is a decent way to understand broad topics but in depth knowledge it is not.

Screamscape's sources have included, for example, KIC and its users. More than once.

One time, a rumor, unique to here, made it there, prefaced with "Insiders tell us..."

Snort.

^Are you seriously comparing Wikipedia/Screamscape and their obvious tendencies to have false and inconsistent information to something that is a proven fact? What loopholes?

What is this I don't even.

Screamscape is more legit than Wikipedia. But I see with my eyes first. Then I believe it.

That's like saying Jimmy Swaggart was more legit than Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker.

Are you trying to insult the religion of Christianity?

Note that I'm not mad, just asking an honest question.

I am not Christian, I am just trying to figure out what you mean.

As a Christian I hope not. I'm guessing you were not alive or remember the 80's? If not, I suggest researching the two. :)

Although Banshee is good ride, Kings Island needs something to really put them back on the map. To be honest, Diamondback isn't really that tall in comparison to the giga and strata coasters out there. I would like to see a giga coaster come to Kings Island in the next couple of years. Something fast, like over 90 mph and maybe it could be the longest steel coaster in the world; they could name it 'Steel Beast' or something in The Beast family. I've been going to Kings Island my whole life and although it will always be my favorite park,it's losing some of it's sting with the intensity of the coasters. I think the reason is that Cedar Fair doesn't want any of their parks doing better than Cedar Point, but CP is running out of space while KI has a lot of room to work with. Come on Kings Island I've been waiting a long time for a giga and so have a lot of other thrill junkies. Break free and give us your worst!

Yeah but Kings Island's terrain can be used for unique elements

Yes, but a future new area that will expand will be quite difficult to make..think of all the stairs, ADA compliance, etc if they opened something back there. Put a ride back there ok just a bit challenging with the elevation changes. Areas back there, can be difficult.

Again, CP has a lot of land, you as a guest just don't see it. Half of the back area of the park is largely undeveloped

Which leads one to wonder, would Dollywood, Magic Mountain, Dorney Park and Six Flags Over Georgia be built today where they are?

It is to wonder.
