What's that in the back of Kings Island?

Featured Replies

Hi there! My name is Nick and I am 13 years old. Just thought I'd introduce myself to the forums and start a discussion. Okay, so I am on Google Earth looking at Kings Island (In hopes that it has been updated since 2012) and I saw something in the back behind Dinosaurs Alive:

It looks like some arrow cars and a bunch of other things. I apologize if this has been previously mentioned.

I actually brought that up when I was new too. From what I understand those are the old trams.

graveyard for old things at Kings Island that may have a future use down the road. (props, parts, higher salvage value, etc..)

Welcome to KIC!

(Edit: And I was beat by Terpy! :) )

And yes, those are various pieces and parts of things, and I have also heard that there are parts from the old trams there.

From the "flyover" shot, you can see the Son of Beast train cars, an old tram, a cop car?, coaster trains that I don't recognize, and all kinds of other random stuff. Kinda neat really.

If you look closely, I think you can see the old Patrick Star prop that used to stand outside the "Nickelodeon Slime Zone" attraction (now Snoopy's Splash Dance).

That image is several years old. I would not be surprised to find that most of what you see in the picture is no longer at the park.

Actually most of it is still there. Last page of this topic you will see Scooby doo mystery machine, security booth, trams and I think theres something in there from Boomerang Bay.

Are we talking about the same area? The area the OP in this topic is referring to is over near WindSeeker/DA. I think lopan's photos are over near where Son of Beast used to be, as indicated by him referring to it as the "old safari area."

I'm going to take a look at Google Earth and see about that other area (IDK if I'll be able to see past SOB) But the area I mentioned earlier, it looks kind of like a garage sale.

Toward the bottom right of the original screenshot image, the date "8/29/12" is visible. So it's not too outdated. If all that stuff was there a year ago, I'd assume it would still be there.

I think (although am not sure) that the trains in the back to the left of the old SoB psv's are the trains from the Villain that was at Geauga Lake.

I would pay a considerable sum of money just to be able to go back there and see up close all those historical gems...
