November 25, 201312 yr I was there a few weeks back and absolutely loved it. The detail they put into this exhibit was simply amazing. I seem to recall hearing that they spent about $100,000 on the Coney display!
November 25, 201312 yr Amazing!! Where is this at? Is it at the Train station thing near downtown Cincy? I'm in Columbus,IN But go to a few Reds games each season.
November 25, 201312 yr EnterTRAINment Junction is located right off of I-75 at Tylersville Road in West Chester, OH. It is roughly thirty minutes (depending on traffic) from downtown Cincinnati.
November 25, 201312 yr ^^^ I was told by one of the employees that it ran around $100,000 to finish off the coney mall exhibit, their most expensive "project" to date. The place is pretty impressive overall.
November 26, 201312 yr I literally stay up there for almost my entire visit there each time I go. It's just impressive.
November 26, 201312 yr The whole place is incredible. When my little guy is a bit older we will be getting a season pass...
November 26, 201312 yr Isn't there also a model of Coney Island at the Children's Museum? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
November 26, 201312 yr Author Additional pics of the layout. Looks like they added the Wild Mouse after the video was shot: http://www.entertrainmentjunction.com/cincinnati_model_trains/photos_coney-island
November 27, 201312 yr Isn't there also a model of Coney Island at the Children's Museum? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free It's actually on the other side of Union Terminal, on the way to the riverboat. pilotank
November 27, 201312 yr Dang! Someone out there is livin' my dream! This re-creation is Awesometacular!
December 3, 201312 yr Yes I liked the one at Union Terminal, but I hear the one at the Junction is so much more detailed. Also who knows in 50 to 100 years what today's Coney will look like? A blast from the past I can only hope:
December 4, 201312 yr I love that model. I wish that I could build something like that. I have little or no talent, when it comes to making a model from scratch, let alone a working model.
December 4, 201312 yr Author I took a few videos during my visit last week. I had a great time and encourage anyone who has not yet gone to EJ to stop by and check it out! If the videos do not appear, let me know and I'll attach a direct link.
December 4, 201312 yr I'd love to see the videos, but none of them work on this iPhone..odd--since an image appears. Click on the image, a new window loads and....nothing. Are they flash, by chance?
December 4, 201312 yr I'd love to see the videos, but none of them work on this iPhone..odd--since an image appears. Click on the image, a new window loads and....nothing. Are they flash, by chance? Yes, they are Flash. Photobucket is a pretty poor place to host videos because of their limited storage (2 GB) and bandwidth (10 GB/month) for free users, and even Plus users have limited storage (varies with amount paid) and limits on video length (10 minutes) and file size (500 MB). All photo-hosting sites I've seen have many limits on videos (Flickr, for instance, limits them to 3 minutes long). Videos really should be uploaded to a dedicated video-hosting site such as YouTube, which enforces no bandwidth, storage, length*, or file size* restrictions and uses HTML5 on browsers that support it instead of Flash. *although uploading videos longer than 15 minutes or larger than 1 GB requires a one-time account confirmation code to be sent to your cell phone
December 4, 201312 yr Author Let me try that again with direct links. Maybe this will work a little better. http://s26.photobucket.com/user/jandyb79/media/IMG_2867.mp4.html http://s26.photobucket.com/user/jandyb79/media/IMG_2868.mp4.html http://s26.photobucket.com/user/jandyb79/media/IMG_2878.mp4.html http://s26.photobucket.com/user/jandyb79/media/IMG_2860.mp4.html
December 4, 201312 yr ^ That still won't help Terpy, because the video player uses Adobe Flash and he's on an iPhone, which does not support Flash. You need to upload the videos to a site that does not use Flash for its player, such as YouTube.
December 4, 201312 yr ^^ Those links go to the same place as your original picture links. ^^^ & ^ Photobucket does link directly to the raw video, which allows shared videos to be downloaded or played on any device. Many video sharing sites (try to) restrict this. Here are direct links that should work on any device: http://i26.photobucket.com/download-albums/c124/jandyb79/IMG_2867.mp4 http://i26.photobucket.com/download-albums/c124/jandyb79/IMG_2868.mp4 http://i26.photobucket.com/download-albums/c124/jandyb79/IMG_2878.mp4 http://i26.photobucket.com/download-albums/c124/jandyb79/IMG_2860.mp4

December 4, 201312 yr Author All the tech issues may have built these videos up beyond their actual entertainment value Here you go Terp... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4zoxkeyalE[\youtube] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zu9mpnCWr7w[\youtube] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bsybl2OJ9yU[\youtube] http://youtu.be/CKCx7Q6hPys[\youtube]
December 4, 201312 yr The second one gave me this the first time I brought it up (it worked the second time): 500 Internal Server Error Sorry, something went wrong. A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation. December 5, 201312 yr ^^^ I love how it say's a team of highly trained monkey's have been dispatched.
December 6, 201312 yr We took GatorGirl and her second cousin from Florida to EnterTrainment Junction the day after Thanksgiving. Being the enthusiast that she is, GatorGirl was enthralled with the Coney Island display. She turned to me and said, "I wish someone could just make us small so we can ride those rides!" I just had to say, "Me too." Kudos to the staff who put together and maintain this wonderful display, as well as all the other displays there!
