Will there be a KIC Winter Blues Event this year?

Featured Replies

Since I missed the last one when Diamondback was being built thanks to the snowfall. Is there going to be one this off season. I know Don said to keep our calendars open around Super Bowl time; just wondering.

Don told us to keep our calendars open the weekend before the Super Bowl. This would be January 25-26, 2014. In any case, some form of event after the holidays appears likely.

Right now, we're still thinking about the holiday party at Great Wolf Lodge. See the threads in the meetups forum for information on that:

The holiday party will not include a KI construction tour, but we're hoping to have some form of activity outside of the waterpark. We should have good views of Banshee and The Bat from some of our top-floor suites.

I hope so, I would like to have some snow photos of Bat and Banshee!

I wonder what we could see in it?

What event would this be? I would really love to go to the Holiday event. But money is so tight for me around the Holidays. I really look forward to meeting any and all KIC peeps!!

^ With the huge interest in Banshee and The Bat this off-season, construction tours for enthusiast groups are very likely. Beyond that, it's too early to say.

There is a cost for the December 6-7 Holiday Party since it's at Great Wolf Lodge, but we're keeping it as inexpensive as we possibly can. Each person's share will be between $35 and $42 based on occupancy, and this includes waterpark access for two days and an (optional) overnight stay. A party, a "white elephant" gift exchange, and other fun activities are being planned as well.

Reservations for the holiday party have already been made, and our block of shared rooms is mostly filled. There's currently space for a maximum of 6 more people, and those spots are first-come, first-served. (You can also book your own room with the hotel, albeit at a higher cost.)

Thanks Malem. Your always a great help much appreciated. I might be able to work something out for the Holiday Party. But won't know until at least the 27th. But again much appreciated.

Confirmation, it can or cannot be to us at the moment, it may be confirmed, but it may not, it may be a secret, but more likely not.

At this time we cannot confirm nor deny a offseason event. :)

That kind of response usually means "yes, there will be one". :)
