when will you first ride Banshee?

Featured Replies

My first time will be opening day at night. Don said it will become many people's new favorite night ride, so my first ride is gonna be at night, opening day! (As long as good weather!)

Media day? One gets invited. Members of certain paid coaster clubs were invited to Gatekeeper's Media Day at Cedar Point. It is a privilege, not a right. Working media are the primary audience. Enth

I want my first ride to be during the day, but it will most likely not occur on Opening Day.

Caleb seems to think our Ohio St final exams will fall on media day, but if they don't you can count on me being there at 3 A.M.

My family is planning on going back to KI sometime in the summer. I'll ride Banshee first during the day, but I'll probably also go on it at night (but it will be my 2nd to last ride of the night, saving that highly anticipated night Beast ride for last!)

Barring any exam issues, I will be there for Media Day. Unfortunately, I don't think that is the case, so whenever I can make it down to Kings Island will work!

I'm planning on the first full week of operation while local schools are still in session.

What if I decide to ride it opening day and opening night?

It wouldn't be your first time riding it opening night if you've already ridden it during opening day. :)

I think another good question to ask would be, "Will you ride Banshee first in daylight or at night?"

I think I'd take a night ride, because that will be the fastest time to get on the ride. Plus the fog and other night theming.

Can it be April tomorrow?

Only thing I have to say is I'm honestly all excited for Banshee, but now with FD/Bat theming, I don't know honestly what strikes me as my favorite thing for next year so far

I respectfully disagree. ERT first thing in the morning will get you on the ride with the shortest wait times.

Will Banshee have ERT?

I would think so

Hopefully with having Banshee over in AZ..ERT won't be the stupid herd you on one part of the midway, and more like what CP does and let you roam everywhere before the park opens to the GP...KI's ert is just...wow

If anything does it's my educated guess that it will, along with The Bat.

I have no idea about opening day specifically. I answered as if we were discussing any normal operating day of 2014. Opening day or special event days may or may not follow what I predict will be the normal operating pattern for next year.

I'll ride Banshee as soon as possible. I'd really, really like it to be on media day, but that will depend on a lot of factors that can't realistically be considered until closer to April. If media day falls through, I'll hopefully be on it sometime on opening day. As with Diamondback, I'll likely see how things pan out before hopping in line. I don't want to wait in a multiple-hour line right away when I could enjoy myself on other rides (with reduced lines, if 2009 was any indication) and hit up the new ride when the line, y'know, isn't looping all the way around an entire area of the park. :D

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it won't matter if there's ERT or not. I'd guess there would be a ton of people there for ERT; therefore, the ride will simply start operating a half hour (or hour) earlier than other rides. Yes, you'd ride sooner, but I don't see there bring a shorter line at 9:30 vs 10

Edit: forgot to say that I'll likely be in said line to rude ASAP that morning. Unless, of course, I manage to make my way into media day

I plan on attending media day, but I also made a promise to a friend of mine this past closing day that I would take her to ride it opening day, so that is gonna happen too. I would love to also ride it at night. I mean, who wouldn't wanna ride this beauty at night?

Chances are quite good my wife and I will be there opening day barring other conflict.

I would love to go to media day. Opening day is a must for me I have never done this before.. How does one get to media day?
