BOOMERANG BAY PLANS ANNOUNCED

Featured Replies

just this morning in the dayton daily news, pki announced the plans to build a new water park.

many of the old rides will still be there but there are some sweet new slides, a new full-serve restaurant and other new shops and stalls.

the page includes photos, too...this is going to be one hot waterpark for 2004. and surprise! that 500,000 gallon water shortage will NOT be a problem. smile.gif

Here is a link to the article in the Cincy Enquirer

Water park's theme: Australia

I can't wait! I do have some questions though...

How many slides are in WaterWorks? It says there will be 30 in Boomerang Bay.

Are they moving the old slides? What about the Lazy River? Being re-done? Or just staying where it is and just re-vamping the old area?

I have plenty of questions, but either way - I'm very happy this is going to happen! I especially like the quote at the end of the article! All about the diversity!

heh, i just got my Dayton paper and was about to post this lol. looks great! Holiday World's gonna be ticked!

Finally they have announced most of the stuff that I have known about. One thing that I think most people will be supprised to know is that I saw the head of Design and Construction out a few months ago looking over the plans.....but he was near the baseball fields. So It looks like the park is actually going to be expanding outwards.

Anybody know about these so-called surfable waves? Does this mean we are finally getting a bigger wave pool with decent sized waves, or is this just going to be a really poor reference to wipeout beach?
