August 20, 201312 yr The condition of the former park.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vh2KcyMDS0 In all honesty that is very sad to see, and in many different lights, very devastating to some.
August 20, 201312 yr Is that an RC helicopter view, ultralight or a drone? Sad to see the destruction....kind of apocalyptic.
August 20, 201312 yr Cedar Fair just needs to get some bulldozers in there and just level the ground. Kind of like what you do in RCT. The only thing they cannot do is remove Big Dipper because some mystery person owns that. I wish he/she would just sell it to another park or sell it back to Cedar Fair so they can move it to another park in the chain.
August 20, 201312 yr If that person still owns that coaster, Cedar Fair could have benefited from the services of a good real estate attorney.
August 20, 201312 yr I'd just buy the park and make my own little theme park! Nope. Cedar Fair will doubtless restrict the property to prohibit such a use.

Cedar Fair will doubtless restrict the property to prohibit such a use. While I will still dream, although I won't use too much pathos on you all, for I save that in my writings. BB1, a dream weaver, not a dream maker. (Who also uses way too much rhetoric)
August 20, 201312 yr Nope. Cedar Fair will doubtless restrict the property to prohibit such a use. Then just do the DIsney approach. Create multiple fake organizations, say you're going to turn it into a strip mall, and then SURPRISE, amusement park!
August 20, 201312 yr Nope. The property is being offered for sale with deed restrictions preventing amusement park use.
August 20, 201312 yr Wow...it was hard to honestly make stuff out as its been such a long time...I wish he would have went over the full park but I'm still thankful for this... Ugh its such a shame, my first coasters, rides, ect. All from that park right there Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 4 Beta
August 21, 201312 yr Why prevent a half demo-ed amusement park from ever being another amusement park again? I am surprised Skycoaster is still standing, was it sold like Big Dipper?
August 21, 201312 yr As much as I hate believing that's the answer...its sadly true Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 4 Beta
August 21, 201312 yr Wow. I drove by the park about 4 years ago. It looked horrible then, but I didnt expect this. This is just sad. Buildings collapsed in on themselves. 100 times worse than I thought. At 1:30 on the video you can see a bunch of square footers? What was that part of the park? What was there? Also, Terp, Im sure if someone offered enough money the deed restrictions could be lifted. That would probably need to be a bunch of money, but it could happen, not probable, but could...

I really, truly don't think so. Not everything is for sale.
August 21, 201312 yr Sad thing is, I'd pay money just go in and romp around for awhile just looking through everything and taking in everything that I was involved in as a kid
August 21, 201312 yr Found a decent overview picture Picture from http://aboveallohio.com/archive2007.html Would Seriel Thriller be the Yellow Ride?
August 21, 201312 yr I'm on my phone. If there is only one yellow ride, that is Batman: Knight Flight aka Dominator. Serial Thriller was teal and red. Looks closely. Yep, I think that was the later Serial Thriller. They did paint it yellow. Had another name.
August 21, 201312 yr It was until it got repainted and rebranded thunder hawk post Cedar Fair acquisition
August 21, 201312 yr Nope. The property is being offered for sale with deed restrictions preventing amusement park use. Yeah, I'm going to need a source on that.
August 21, 201312 yr Yes, I haven't heard anything more on the Big Dipper for a couple of years..not since I helped a forum member here and their partner with some legal advice on how to attempt to purchase the coaster..they couldn't raise the needed funds in time.
