Banshee Construction Progress

I'm sure it's been asked, and probably answered, but do we know how tall all of the inversions are? This second loop (and everything else) looks HUGE

Don said the the second loop would be slightly shorter than the other, and the height of the first loop is 110ft (i believe). He also stated that the height of all but the last inversion would be over 100ft so im guessing about 105ft.

We did not mention all the statistics during the announcement because statistics are not what make a roller coaster great; it's the ride experience it delivers that makes it great.

  • It's good to see me, isn't it? No need to respond! That was rhetorical. Under 30 days until Banshee makes its public debut! We can't wait for you to come out and experience this ride.

We have guests that are more excited about our live shows than our roller coasters, that visit the park specifically for the shows. For these guests, the Cirque Imagine announcement was as exciting as

I would think that the close-up webcam is likely covered during touchy lift operations just in case something unfortunate were to occur. King's Island wouldn't want disturbing images to circulate on the internet forever due to accidents caught on the webcam.

I hope

Sorry for the double post. The picture went missing on the last try:

Terp is right. Thunder "ROAD"... was it really going to be called "Swoop" before that? I'm not sure where thunder road would have fit into that area for theming, but "Swoop" is just terrible.

As for Re-theming the area, I would have assumed that if the AZ persona was changing, the elements that made it "AZ" would have come down in November.... under the watchful eye of the tower webcams. But if it is just painting, whoever mentioned that is probably right... they'd choose to paint in the spring for better warming days- though I am no meteorologist.

Does anyone else remember when Don said that no other cameras would be added? So when I saw the new camera added, I was happily suprised.

Hey, even the meteorologists don't seem very good at calling the wather around here!!! :P

Davidw - thank you for the work you do putting the time lapse and images together.

26 track pieces to go! Getting close!

Not at all questioning you here, but am curious how you know the number of pieces of track left to be installed :)

Yup, I count 26 track pieces as well. According to the ride renderings which are dead nuts on.

A Little off topic and early, But Since the SOB Station is being torn down, Does this mean Wolf Pack Will Be Leaving Or Reloacting?

I'm pretty sure Don has confirmed multiple times that the SOB station and Wolf Pack are staying.

I hope they don't tear down the old SOB station. Isnt that where the new cam is set up?

Wolf Pack will remain in the old SOB station for the foreseeable future.

i watch the off ride animation in slow motion and count all of the missing track pieces. The animation is spot on when it comes to track pieces and supports.

The other large support for the second loop is going up!

Yay! The other side of the vertical loop is up!!! Woo hoo!!! one more piece and all the looping elements are up... then the inline roll is the only inversion left!

I was finally able to watch a lift on the cam and it was actually very quick, only three or four refreshes before it was in place.

at the bottom of the original camera on the left hand side. there has been some serious digging going on there
