Throwback: (P)KIcentral's Tribute to the 2004 Season

Celebrating 10 years of KICentral!

I came across this video on YouTube. It's a little campy, but I'm a little older and wiser now. It's incredible what has changed in the past decade.

That's a pretty sad song for what's supposed to be a happy video! Hah...

It was put out a day after the park closed for the season, so it was supposed to be kind of a "looking back/sad it's over" tone.

Reminds me of the final Coney Island videos.....plus it is incredible what has come and gone since 2004.

Whats that one coaster at 1:01? I've never seen it before!

That's Son of Beast!

I think he knew that. :)

The odd thing? It wasn't 2-9.

You're right....I didn't catch that!!! :P

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days
Oh, yes, those were the days

Through the door there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh, my friend, we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same...

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days
Oh, yes, those were the days

Thanks for reminding us of several things i know at least several of us wish was still there :-( eagles, cars nic parade etc, it just looked cooler back then :-)

(I'm doing this on purpose)

I think Vortex looked a lot smoother to me back then. (it also looked a lot higher off the ground!)

Very nice video. Thanks for posting. I liked how the lyrics "here comes the rain again falling from the stars" lined up with the water falling from the tower (at 0:46).

Swan Lake, orchestral music on International Street, the Happy Land of HB, Jeff Seibert and his vigorous almost overhyping promoting, the magic of the movies meeting the thrills of a lifetime...
