August 10, 201610 yr Delirium has had alot of what I call extra downtime in past years. It is interesting that the Delirium ride CF is installing at Kings Dominion is a Mondial and not Huss despite, maybe because of, have (at least) two of the Huss rides already.
August 10, 201610 yr Skylab was a Huss Giant Enterprise. Only 2 other parks besides KI ever installed them. One of those being at Paramount's Canadas Wonderland. That version still remains today, however it will be removed at the end of this season for the addition of their "Italian job" coaster. PKI removed their's because of astronomical operating/maintenance cost. It's hydraulic arm would often fail, and require replacement. The cost of maintaining it far outweighed it's appeal. So viola... it was ripped out and scrapped. It sat idle for 1 1/2 seasons before it was removed. Shaggy Their Giant Enterprise is still operating was it relocated in the park? If they moved it, they didn't move it far... It is in Action Zone, beside Backlot Stunt Coaster and across from Sledgehammer...
August 10, 201610 yr Hmm. Hydraulic arm problems with a HUSS Enterprise. Sounds...familiar. Here's to hoping it sticks around a while longer.
August 10, 201610 yr Ha! I thought the username of the OP of this thread looked familiar...I'm the OP of this thread! I joined before the merger and, IIRC, I couldn't access my account, so I opened a new one.
August 11, 201610 yr Looking back through this thread, I'm wondering where Skylab was in relation to today. Was it where the Dinosaurs Alive! entrance is now?
August 12, 201610 yr Yea basically in the space where the ladder game, basketball game, and Coca-Cola Marketplace are at the entrance to Coney Mall.
