Starting to Decode 2014

I vote on the parking lot work! Today's heavy rain created large puddles that hid the sink holes in the lot!

  • You know, I chuckle at this thread. The more I read it... which is pretty much daily now... the more I become amused. Why? It's a near carbon copy of about a dozen other threads related to KI throu

For those waiting for when we'll announce what we're building for the future, you might want to grab yourself a Snickers bar. It's going to be awhile. We still have the majority of the 2013 season

Did the forum get the hiccups? Merthecat just posted the same thing 4 times.

Maybe the forums should stand up side down. Or maybe we can get a Banshee to scare the hiccups away.

Get the forums to "stand upside down" ??....I remember the days of standing upside down at Kings Island....

KC at the top of the loop...?

Oktoberfest? International Street? Parking Lot? Tower Gardens?

I think the best part of this post is that I would be 100% okay with a parking lot renovation for next season.

To help the traffic, after the fireworks
Were you stuck in that last night too? I didn't get home till 11:40 and I live 6 minutes from the park. Lol

...This is slightly related to this topic....

Didn't Don say that they were going to bring something back something similar to 5@5 this year?...

You haven't seen a bad parking lot till you've seen Riverbend. At the Rush concert Tuesday night, it took me and my dad twenty minutes just to exit the lot...and we were around the fifth row, I think...

They have a parking lot? I seem to be parked in grass every visit.

^^ I went to that Rush concert with my dad too! Pretty good show.

But no Red Barchetta...

Yes I was and then having 6 six kids with me too.. My friend dad had the music blaring

This past Monday night, I got out to my car at 10:10 and couldn't even back out of my parking spot until almost 10:40 because of a steady string of cars driving down the aisle behind me.

We were stuck for like 20 min. Then in traffic for like 30 min.

To reduce the likelihood of potholes eating cars. Nomnomnomnom

Man you don't know traffic issues until you have been to a race at Kentucky Speedway.

Or went to Visionland in Alabama its first year. The parking lot had ONE exit. It could and often did take four or five hours to empty. One of many boneheaded blunders in that place.

I step in one and killed my ankle since I was flip flops

Man you don't know traffic issues until you have been to a race at Kentucky Speedway.

First year took us 4hrs to get into place, second year took us 2hrs to get out of place, 3rd year took us 1hr and 1/2 in traffic on highway to get home... So next year 1hr in front of my house?

NIGHTMARE! Especially in a car with no working AC for 1st and 3rd year...

I step in one and killed my ankle since I was flip flops

You were flip flops?

I was flip flops once, then I woke up man that was a messed up dream.

You were flip flops?

how did you guys know ha

Hmmm see KI PR down at bottom of page... I bet he is got a bowl of popcorn and sitting their with a drink and laughing so hard...

I would say be careful Don, popcorn is a hazardous food for choking and if you're laughing while eating it, that could double the chance of choking.

Be careful Don.

Be careful.

We watched the fireworks by The Vortex and made it home in Northwest Columbus at 12:01.

You wanna see bad potholes, visit Toledo!

Obviously Project 2014 is a parking garage.

Obviously.

For a bigger better version of BLSC?

I swear there is a sink hole in the employee lot the size of that pot hole, all covered by that puddle of water that hides that crater!

I went this year for the first time since the Sprint Cup was there.

On Saturday, the race was rained out until Sunday, we parked in the front row in Lot 6, got right out and was at my parents house in Fairfield in three hours.

On Sunday, we hit I-71 in three and a half hours hours and got to the 1047 exit, the exit before the Speedway, in 4 hours. In all an 2 hour trip took 6 hours.
