The cams are down at least when i last checked im just wondering how busy is it today for opening day?(line times etc)

Very busy. I went this morning, during ERT's, and there was a forty minute or so wait for Diamondback and at least an hour for The Beast.

Waited about an hour for The Beast and about 45 for Diamondback during ERT. Not to mention being stuck on BLSC for about 20 minutes.

3:05 pm.. Waited an hour and 15 minutes to ride Diamondback. Beast line backed up to Larosas. Busiest I've seen it in a LONG time.. Waited 40 mins in boo blasters...

Sign for Flight of Fear said 2 hours.

People waiting 20 minutes to buy LaRosa's. ONE side open on both International Street and in Rivertown.

Me and my son ran through the crowd this morning and got front seat on Diamondback after a 20 min wait. Next we ran to Vortex and rode front seat on that second train of the year so almost no wait. Next we went to Flight of Fear, 55 minute wait. Took some time to check out some shops and the tower and just walk around before getting in line for The Beast, front car 1 hour 50 minute wait!! Ugh. But still a fun and great day!!

Has their been many ride break downs/downtime today? I know KI has had a bad history of this in the past...

Wind seeker is down and I can tell you flight deck was closed when I went to look at the old sob site..

Backlot was having several issues today. It was down whenever I walked by it, go around the corner and saw it running, so we ran back to hopefully find a short wait. Got in line and wasn't too long, waited about 20 minutes, then got back to the station brakes and BOOM, down again. They came and released our restraints after about 15-20 minutes.

When I was there today (from about 9:30-3:15-ish), it was pretty busy, but started to get much busier after about 10:30.

Pretty busy. I ended up waiting two hours for Flight of Fear when I got in line around 2:00.

Beast does that on numerous occasions every season. Midnight closes, Saturday haunts, and other random busy days during the season do generate long waits.

Got in line for DB during ERT and waited 50 minutes. Soon after, signs for FOF and Firehawk said 90 and 120 minutes, respectively; I didn't test them. Besides DB, literally the only other ride I rode was Zephyr, which had a one-cycle wait. Hank's was lined up out the door with only one side open and only one cash register operating on that side. The Reds Grille had a 75-minute wait for a table shortly after 2:00 (but at least there you don't have to sit and wait; you can go do other things and they text you when your table's ready).

Only one cash register open, sounds like your at Walmart. Those waits sound pretty crazy. Looks like the private event tomorrow will get some rain.

What was weird at the Red's HoF Grille was that there were plenty of open tables, but the people said it was a two hour wait. Why?

Well, from a source, it sounds like they were having some first day woes. Computer system problems, and understaffing seem to be what did it.

I work at Outback in Western Hills, and I have been doing it for over 7 years now and I can say that those are 2 things that can really bring a night down. I'm sure they'll get things more efficient as the season progresses, would be hard pressed for it not to get better.

One hour 50 minute wait for db yesterday. Tried to get on Beast twice yesterday, never did make it. Two hour wait in the grill. It was crazy busy. I think I will avoid opening day next year.

This was my fourth opening day in a row and I have never seen one like this..

No offense, 5K runners, but I think it's their fault. I saw so many pink wearing guests in Diamondback's line. Gosh darn you marathoners!

Yeah, ERT was double-slammed with both all the enthusiasts and all the 5K participants. Bad move on KI's part, IMO, to let the 5K runners in to ERT without checking for Gold/Platinum Passes. 50 minute wait for Diamondback during ERT is ridiculous even for opening day.

Im glad we didnt take the kids(there going friday). It was packed!! We got right on The Beast(4th train and faster and smoother than I can remember!),looked at DB line and said"No Thanks",waited for opening and got right on BLSC,Racer,AE,then Flightdeck. Every line was packed after that so we just walked around.We sat at the Reds Griile Bar and had lunch,it was really good(Ribs were awesome)! The bartender(Heather) was great,to bad they didnt give her much help! She needs a tip from KI for what they put her through! I would have quit and Im being serious! I didnt complain but our food took forever,the manager covered our bill with out me saying a word! I was very happy he did that,Im sure they will get in a flow of things and I will definetly eat there again! By the way,thanks for holding the door open for us jcgoble3(seen photos and the KICentral shirts!) when you were counting the number of people in your party! I was going to say hello to all of you but we had been in there forever and I like to talk alot so I got the lets go look from the wife! We didnt ride any more rides because of the lines so we went to DA,was worth every penny,we loved it and I have to take the kids next time! I also noticed no seatbelts on BLSC and Flightdeck! My wife wanted a coffee around 6pm and the line for starbucks was huge,so we just called it a night! It was a great day, a perfect day to escape the crowds at DA,the girl working sold me when she said"Its awesome,you feel like your not even at KI!" Her saying that is the only reason we did it,now I cant wait to take the kids!

Glad you had good service and food at the Reds Grille. As for holding the door, the staff had actually propped both doors open, so I was just standing there, not holding anything. Oh, and next time, forget the wife and say hello.

As the brother of a two time breast cancer survivor, I was more than happy to share ERT with the 5k runners as it is for a great cause.

What I don't understand is why ERT was cut from 1 hour to 1//2 hour.

We got there at 4:30, a last minute decision to take in some rides. Delirium was running about 75 minute wait. Flight deck, longest q I've seen in years, with 20 minutes saw Gary (XGatorHead 8904) in line in front of me. Surf dog went down as kids were in line. Boo Blasters was running about 45 minutes. White water canyon & congo falls were both walk on. Most people were just cycling over and over.

At 8:45 line for Diamondback was 2 hours, so went to Beast was a 75 minute post, but got caught by fireworks, so turned into a almost 2 hour wait. Saw malem, Beastie1980, Original, Muppetfan, firebeastoffear in line a little bit behind us, but didnt get to say hey.
