Tomb Raider: The Ride

Featured Replies

Okay, so when I first started going to KI I never rode Tomb Raider and I was always wondering..... What is in that Tomb??? LOL :) If anyone could give me a little description or something I would be really happy!!! THANKS ;)

Descend into the ancient tomb of the illuminati guarded by the Warrior Goddess Durga, just as the planets align - and become enmeshed in an epic test of fire and ice! Hurtling through the darkness, you'll come face-to-face with glistening, razor-sharp stalactites and roiling, red-hot lava pits, twisting and turning as you struggle against the fury of nature's polar opposites in a desperate effort to escape! So suit up and strap yourself in.

Your new!! Great! I joined not too long ago! But... Please don't get carried away with forums. I did that a lot and I have learned my lesson..... http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/26489-space-for-a-new-ride-in-rivertown/ Welcome to KIC though!!

At one time, TR:TR was my favorite ride at Kings Island. Nothing like I'd ever (or since) experienced!

Cue the impending GoodYellowKoRn182 post in 5, 4, 3, 2... ;)

(I'd do it myself, but I don't have enough time right now to type it all out!)

It was IMO, the perfect ride. I've never been on a ride like it before or since my first ride in 2002. It truly is a tragedy that it never made it past 10 years. I think it will be a one time attraction, as in, ki never had an attraction like it before and will never have one like it in the future.

In short, yep. I even enjoyed it when it was on its "last leg" in the later years. It is truly a marvel that it ever existed at a seasonal, regional park. Rose colored glasses, perhaps, but I have always and expectedly will always rank it among the top three rides that I've been on. It is, without a doubt, the reason I enjoy theme parks and the impetus that got me started following the park and the industry.

I say again that I was truly sad, disheartened, and a little empty when I first rode its replacement. You know you've made an emotional attachment to something when...

See this great video, enmeshed with the video above and the travel channel footage, arranged by our own GoodYellowKoRn.
