August 18, 201214 yr Thank heaven they no longer own parks: http://m.cbsnews.com/fullstory.rbml?catid=57495910&feed_id=999&videofeed=999 Errors, errors, errors. And silly, too.
August 19, 201214 yr I'm pretty sure that guy doesn't actually ride coasters as much as he says. How does "Best Structure' have to do with twists and turns? I thought he meant support-wise, how it looks, etc.
August 19, 201214 yr Millennium Force the first "complete circuit" coaster Leviathan it hits a record-breaking height of 306 feet, followed by an 80 degree drop I'd just like him to define complete circuit and let me know what record 306ft breaks before I read on. Yet, people will beleive this and quote him as a reference on Wikipedia. Can someone also remind me of the open quote text to use to put the box around it - I think it is [\quote] to end but don't remember the start. - fixed (except here to avoid a fake one) thanks Terp
August 19, 201213 yr Author ....Can someone also remind me of the open quote text to use to put the box around it - I think it is [\quote] to end but don't remember the start. Yes. The first is the word "quote" in brackets. The second is as you have it, except you have your slash reversed..it should be the one that points up to the right, not left. And this catbird spewed that stuff on CBS television as well. I think he thought he was impressing viewers with his encyclopedic knowledge of all things coaster.
August 19, 201213 yr You do not have to type anything in order to display a quote. When you click on the box to write a reply, pay close attention to the typing area. There is a tab that you click on and it inserts the proper code for you. Paste your text in the middle of it and voila.
August 19, 201213 yr Author He understands that. He was trying to quote the CBS article, not a post on this forum. Terp, who thought the same thing at first....Your solution is an elegant one! . If you do that, substitute the source name and either change or delete the timestamp information.
August 19, 201213 yr Nope. I am not talking about the reply with quote tab. There is a little quote bubble that you can click on when replying to a post. It puts [ quote] [/quote ] inside of the box you type your reply into. If I wasn't on my phone I would do a screen capture. Click on the box at the bottom of the thread that reads "Reply to this topic" and pay close attention to the area that appears around it.
August 19, 201213 yr "Best incline and descent"? Were they trying to say "Steepest incline of descent"?
August 19, 201213 yr Author I doubt it. Nor even angle of descent. Probably meant best hills but got tripped up trying to be fancy. Not unlike, say, law enforcement's all too typical overuse and misuse of legalese.
